Stone IMO is pricy for what it is.

Definitely Mikkeller, I do enjoy their beers, but some of the prices on 33cL are ridiculous. Nebraska for sure, $25 a 750 as your flagship brews is crazy, that's why I've never tried them. Lost Abbey 375s at $15 is asking a lot, even when they're really good like Red Poppy or Framboise de Amorosa. I'd add a lot of Scandanavian and Italian imports, seriously $8 for a 33cl of pilsner.

I'd differ, I'd say Stone is actually well-priced. $9.99/sixer for Stone IPA which is a very good example of the style. $5.49-$5.99 for a bomber of Ruination or IRS considering the price structure of their styles is excellent. The new Stone Ruination 10th was only $6.50 a bomber. Arrogant Bastard is under $4. Double Bastard has snuck up into that $8 range, but overall I think their prices are more than fair.

Sadly, the special beers from Odell and most have not been that impressive to my palate. Regular line? Solid and with friendly prices.

This is discouraging! You are supposed to be beer advocates, yet you sit here and complain about the price of basically all the great craft breweries. Anyone coming here for the first time is going to think they are just a rip off and will never bother to even give them a shot. They are small businesses, they deal with a huge overhead and then have to feed distributors and retailers along the way. I don't see any of them buying an Island with what they make. Besides you want cheap there is always BMC, everything else you pay for higher quality.

LOL bro, relax. The reasonably priced breweries are also craft breweries. This is beeradvocate.com, not ripmeoff.com

Actually, Sam Calagione recently purchased a small island nation just off the Ivory Coast. From the few pictures I've seen, it looks quite scenic.

I love the beers alot but Hoppin Frog is just too much. Theyre regularly at least $10/bomber. Their double IPA (Hop Dam) was 16.99. thats just too much.

Jolly Pumpkin also falls in to this one. I really dont wanna pay upwards of $12 per 750mL, and $15 for a seasonal.

I drink beer for taste, not their awards. And I like to be my own judge. Rogue's beers are not bad, but not great for the most part. And I think they are priced higher than those that I would consider comparable. And their 7 oz format has to be in the upper tier of price per oz. in most locations. I believe they are around $7 at places I've seen them. Needless to say, I've never purchased them. There are many breweries lately that are pushing prices higher than I am interested in paying. That's just my personal opinion.

I agree, everything they offer seems to be 13 bucks plus a shot.

    $5.99 for a world-class IRS is overpriced?

Admittedly pricier offerings but you will be hard pressed to find a beer produced using a similar process for a similar price. Most beers that are barrel aged for an extended period and really heavily on the bugs and funk are more expensive than JP or Leelanau.

....Before being expensive was cool - Rogue never ascended to coolness but they were always pricey.
