Well go for the st. bernardus, whatever good you've heard about chimay is an extreme overstatement, they are tremendously overrated and not that good imo, not awful but just exceedingly average, st. bernardus, rochefort, westmalle, if you wanna go americanesque try something from ommegang

For me it is any of Firestone Walker IPA's. I can never find them fresh.

In the same boat. Have always wanted to try one but the 30 dollar price tag keeps me passing them up.

120 Minute. I've seen it on the shelf multiple times. But I'm already not a huge fan of 90 Minute, and at $12 for 12 oz, I always find something more appealing.

North Coast Brother Thelonious. Einstök. Hitachino. Something else more interesting/cost effective always seems to catch my eye.

It's kind of worth trying exactly once. Split the cost with a friend or two, no one's going to drink 12 oz of it.

I really enjoy scotch ales. Every time I see it, I just don't know how long it's been sitting there.

Crappy BMC, but I have yet to "pull the trigger" on it.

Peche Mortel. It's fairly easy for me to find, and I've picked it up on several occasions, I just always end up trading it before I get around to drinking it.

Lost Abbey Red Poppy is one I've wanted to try forever now but I can never cough up the $20.

To many IPA's to list. With my palate, it's a hit or miss. If it is a miss, it usual means drain pour. I've got bad luck or a bad voodoo dr....I seem to find the bad before the good

Darker ales, when a miss, tend to be easier to finish despite the lack of enjoyment or desired flavor.

I've been meaning to try a lot of beers from Dogfish Head's arsenal but since it's not distributed to my area, I have some serious waiting to do! Last summer I had Dogfish Head's 60 Minute IPA in Portland, Maine and I was blown away. Ever since I've been longing to try their other beers. Once college is out in April, I will make the journey across the border once again in my search!
