Is the tasting room in a retirement community?

I assume he's talking about emissions testing. Which for any car made since 1997 is really a non-issue. It's a hassle that NC has to go through because the government says so. It has nothing to do with beer. Which is delicious.

CCB already has a relationship with the same distro family in Florida as VA. Just did a collab with Hardywood. CCB does the Gwar-BBQ beer. Seems like a lot of arrows pointing to RVA as a comfy little destination. Just sayin'.

Except that Joey is already quoted in the article as saying in the Carolinas.

Yeah, I was going to post, them dropping the suit isn't a good thing. They got what they wanted: legislation to look at the oft used tourism exception aspect of law.

Do not ignore the elephant in the room. Florida wine and spirits distribution is notoriously "corrupt". Why would beer be any different? The big guys cannot stand even the thought of any semblance of competition, so they find legal impediments with money, raw power, lawyers, and archaic laws. That Cigar City WILL set up camp and be even more successful elsewhere is a beautiful political move! Bring it on. We'd love to have you anywhere in the Old North State!

The other piece to the Asheville equation (actually Black Mountain) is the desire to have the brewery in a place he would want to take "family vacations".

As a 4 generation Cracker I can't argue against the fact that the Asheville/Black Moutain area is a great place to "take family vacations"
One of my favorite areas to go when I do leave the sweet salt water and home.

Someone is a little salty from paying too much in taxes and having to make a yearly $30 donation to Raleigh for the privilege of registering their car!

You are assuming that I actually take the time to read articles. Point taken though........

Note to self - read articles!

Although, if the legislation had the effect of incentivizing more breweries to include ferris wheels and roller coasters, I would support that.

Well it appears the only beer you have rated from Westbrook you gave a 4.56 which is a hell of a lot better than ok

Minnesota is a very craft supported state (by both consumers and legislators). Think of the new markets CCB could tap into by putting a brewery in.. oh, I don't know, Golden Valley.

That would be fantastic. However, as long as our laws that prohibit Sunday sales exist, this is not even close to happening. As a matter of fact, we are more likely to lose small breweries that started in MN than we are to gain large ones from out of state.

Yeah, I don't really understand some people. Sometimes it's a low rating, while in their review they state it's a great beer and vice versa.
