Yup, this is the same thing that happened to me. Pretty disappointed, but I spoke to Steve yesterday and he said he's going to make it right...

Yeah, I emailed Val and she said there'd be two bottles waiting for me when I got there. The master list only had me down for one, though, but thankfully I'd printed off her email and went home with two bottles. Phew!

East Coast BA here researching a potential trade for some Nelson. Can anyone tell me precisely how much the bottles go for? Thanks in advance.

Depends on where you buy the bottles but at the brewery about $6 including tax/crv. I've seen them at bottle shops for as much as $11.

I guess that would depend highly on your trading partner and your deal. If you are going for rarities or doing $4$. What I can tell you for certain is that bottles are currently out at the brewery and I haven't seen Alpine state when the next batch is being bottled.

Edit: sniped, but yes, usually $6-11 depending on where they are picked up.

By all means, get bottles produced by the brewery for the real experience. But, Alpine kegs are starting to roll out throughout the Green Flash distro footprint -- I know kegs are hitting Arizona next week, for example. CT may be getting them too. Then you could compare Green Flash-brewed Nelson to the real thing, I suppose:slight_smile:

Wow! Six bucks at the brewery? I've had Nelson once and it blew my mind. That's one hell of a bargain.

So is there a fresh batch floating around currently? Any idea on dates would be helpful. And I just meant "how much did they cost?", not "what do they trade for?". I might be landing some Heady and possible some Sip of Sunshine this weekend and was considering trying to score some Nelson.

Last batch of Nelson was bottled on the 12th I believe. IMO (and a few others that I have noticed), possibly the best batch to date.

Alpine seems to re-bottle Nelson about once a month -> month and a half. It was only gone so fast this time because ppl went down to pick up their Kiwi Herman bottles so picking up 2-3 Nelson bottles from the brewery was the obvious thing to do.

I am glad Alpine puts daily-per-person limits on bottle sales. Even though I would love to walk away with a couple cases at times.

It seems to me they rotate through the big 3 IPAs bottling one each week.

That one time a few months ago when the trinity was all available in bottles....that was a good couple of days.

Was there yesterday. Pretty legendary taplist going. Bad Boy, an old keg of Expo, and that new collaboration IPA with Mission (Which was just sorta ok, compared to the other stuff, yet I still got a growler of it). Nelson batch on now is nuclear good.

Actually finished with a mixture of the Expo and Bad Boy, freaking delicious.

SoS and HT most definitely should trade $4$ IMO. Based on average costs I've seen for both SoS/HT and Nelson I would say 2 cans SoS/HT to one bottle of Nelson is fair.
