It's a restaurant/bar. All the bottled beers are expensive. Nice large selection of beer with large markup. Food is supposed to be good.

food is excellent. live nearby and am in there all the time, but couldn't bring myself to pay $22 for a bottle of beer, which will probably be on tap at Ginger Man for a fraction of the price.

If you are a regular, did you ever bring up their bottle prices being too high? Btw, you cannot compare tap prices at bars to bottle prices at bars, esp in NYC. Apples to apples,.....

It makes no practical difference to me a consumer of beer. They can price it however they want, but I'll always choose to pay less if I can. Apples to apples for me.

And no, I haven't raised the issue ... the employees, as well as the manager, are well aware their prices are high. Price of doing business in Midtown.

I had Christmas Bomb! at Blue Monk in Buffalo. Great beer, and I'm super happy that this and other Bomb! variants will be popping up in Buffalo.

Another wave of beers seems to have landed this past week. Bomb, Funky Gold Amarillo, etc. I've seen at most Decicco's locations as well as Half Time in Mamaroneck. All of the NY bottles have been solid.

I can't say the same for some of the bottles I acquired from early 2014 from out of state. I had 2 Bomb! bottles from May 2014 that had STRONG metallic flavors. These were not waxed bottles like I've read about. Just regular capped Bomb! It's like someone dissolved a dime or nickel in there. The smell at the top of the bottle was terrible. I worked my way through the glass. I couldn't bring myself to drain pour it. I made the mistake of trying to drink the last bit at the bottom of the bottle. It was so strong and metallic that I ran to the bathroom and threw up. All of that yeast at the bottom which is normally quite yummy was the strongest metallic flavor of all.
