Late Night Beer Advocate - Thursday

Well this certainly is aging well. I have work in 7 hours, but fuck it...its breakfast time!

 

This session is pretty good, I've never had anything from them and just picked up a single bottle just cuz, i like it. Also, how is the unibroue? I've eyed it a few times but haven't grabbed it yet.

 

Decent. some good flavors, but it didnt feel nearly as robust as it needed to be, and hardly any maple flavor in the taste. I made a homebrew brown at 5.3% that feels more robust if that says anything


Damn nice!!!! Sam Adams did a fine job. Big yeast esters with good hop flavor balance. Very drinkable. No complaints


Really fricking good and balanced for a tripel. Lots of light fruits, with herbal and peppery esters with great balance. Very easy to sip for 9.3%. Weyerbacher rarely releases anything bad IMO.


This was about the same amount of delicious as the carbed bottle, though there were some slight aroma differences from the nitrogen. Very creamy and smooth. Left hand is seriously underrated.


This album is fucking incredible!! I had an addiction to it today(literally), this was one of the Devvy albums I was missing up until a couple weeks ago.

In-Heat Wheat by Flying Dog. Nice and citrusy for those hot days. Craving a Hennepin.

 

On my third perpetual imperial pale ale from the fine brothers at troegs....so good

 

If you like apple or cider, I would recommend, but if not, then not! I really like Unibroue, but have to say this is my least favorite from them so far. 2 more in this mixed 4 pk coming up! Cheers bro ~

Started with Breckenridge Oatmeal Stout (highly underrated IMO), ending with Founders Dirty Bastard. Mmmmm.

 

Back home in Oklahoma & drinking my last Duck Rabbattor, was good fresh, but fading a little bit now. It's bloody hot out there, my prayers go out to all my old Neighbors in CO Springs, that fire is f-ing up plenty of folks lives right now. I raise my glass to those who fight fires where ever they are...

 

Started off with an Aecht Schlenkerla Eiche... Wasn't feeling the smoky oak.. bad timing.
Just finishing a Steelhead Extra Pale Ale and considering moving onto an Old Rasputin or Dieu Du Ciel Peche Mortel.

It smelled kind of skunky, but I enjoy it. I could kill about 15 of these on a hot day, wish it was available locally.

 

Hell ya, graduated in May and headed back for a masters... great place man (and the brew around doesnt hurt either haha)
