#VBS for tonight. And no, I didn't make it to two beers last night, little man was up past midnight. I'll give it may all tonight though!

My little girl (about 10 mos. now) does this to me too often too.

But, this weekend, she is visiting grandma... And so is mommy and big sister...

Too bad I couldn't make the trip up to the in-laws. I guess I'll just have to spend the evening at home by myself...

Sometimes having to work on a Saturday is a good thing

My wife works nights (7pm-7am) every Thursday-Saturday; most of the time it sucks, but on nights like tonight when both kids are having a sleepover at their grandparents' house, it's pretty awesome. If I'm lucky, my palette isn't still dulled from the cold I'm getting over and I can do some serious drinking.

Wow that sounds like a good time to me. I work through the week and my wife works the weekend shift at the hospital so I very rarely get a break. It's all good though, I enjoy it, have a 12 and a 13 year old that I had when I was much younger. This time around I know to cherish every little thing.

    Agree and Agree!

I work way too much and have had to make a conscious effort to make sure that my family gets my undivided attention when I'm home. My wife and kids are awesome and they deserve it. I'm getting better at saying no at work and making time for family (that sounds awful... I should have to make time for work because my family takes up all my time--wouldn't that be awesome...), but life is still usually pretty hectic...

That being said, as much as I value family time (My oldest daughter (almost 3) is one of the coolest people I know and my little one (10 mos.) is working on it), I must confess, a "me" night, without wife and kids, and including pizza, beer, and sleeping on the couch is pretty damn good too!

In light of all of the recent Trademark disputes in the beer world, I present "Collaboration, not Litigation"--a blend of Russian River's "Salvation" and Avery's "Salvation" #VBS round 3

I absolutely LOVE that they did that. It's obviously not practical to license out your IP every time someone 'borrows' it, but it's also necessary to go to court a lot less often than seems to be happening.

Hey @LehighAce06, I ran around to a few new stores today, and I saw a 4-pack of vanilla Buffalo sweat. I know that you did a trade a while back for said beer. Is it still worth picking up?

I can't imagine it isn't; it's not an imperial so I wouldn't sit on them forever, but it's nothing hoppy so no reason it won't be worth having after just a couple months.

*full disclosure- I haven't actually drank any of the ones I traded for, most of them were flipped into a BAVSS and the ones I have left I haven't touched.

If you're eating brats for your "diet" then i guess one of the beers you might or might not be receiving from me doesn't sound too bad now..

Pure meat. Some bacon sounds awesome . Another 5 pounds and I add some carbs, all of which will be out of a glass!

Atkins eh? I did that back in college, but without reading how you're supposed to do it, I ended up eating tuna out of a can a lot, among other funny misinterpretations of how it's supposed to work. A couple pretty funny stories of atkins + collegiate drinking too.

Then a couple years later I did a "Biggest Loser" contest at work, only I never added in the carbs, and ate cheesesteaks with extra cheese, but no roll; 8 weeks of 0 carbs and I dropped like 30 pounds... won $600 and put the weight right back on.
