    I think it's a bit more like 8:1.

I feel like this could easily go $4$. How much does Huna run? 8 HT's can be anywhere from $25-$30.

in the past Huna has been $20; it's hard to say this year because it's included in the cost of the Huna Day ticket, but it sounds like $25 from what I many are figuring

    ...a what?

personally I'd never trade a single day brewery release beer like Huna for a beer that comes up literally every single week, but hey, go nuts

I agree with you, but I'm sure you know this won't happen. NE folks are treating Heady like a sacred elixir these days. 6:1 seems typical, although 8:1 may happen as well.

This. I have traded a huna for heady 4:1 but that was with a repeat trade partner.

I expect this year's huna to trade significantly higher than last year's though. Half the bottle count and the 200 ticket price well cause many people to hang on to these bottles more tightly I think. I know I'm trading two to a rtp and will keep the other two.

Huna's a great beer, I think 8 cans of HT is about right as well. Love both beers, 14 Huna was terriffic, HT is consistently great, if I had multiple Huna's and have never had it before I'd do it. HT is a tough draw, it's not as easy as it was for volume and its a remote distro area, so it doesn't flow so well, but if I was local I'd easily grab the Huna.

I hardly think beer that is normally in the handful of stores that get it for a few hours as a "shelf beer".

If it hits the shelf regularly, it's a shelf beer.

Any beer that could be bought by the case is a shelf beer. That being said, as I've stated over and over, it's desirability that counts. Huna : Heady is essentially equivalent desirability, if anything Huna being a bit more desirable. Therefore $4$ should be the case, and maybe a bit more on the heady side since it's available year round. My $.02

This really all depends on your intentions: do you want to maximize your bottle or be a BA and possibly make a friend and regular trader?

If you want to maximize and be a 1 and done trader: when the weather gets nice 12 shouldn't be hard.

If you want to make a friend and possible hook-up: asking 6 cans is being very nice. (posted the other way is very unlikely to get done)

If you want a fair trade that easily gets done: 8 cans.

I did a trade of Huna for Heady over a year ago with a ratio of 1 Huna to 8 Heady's.
