Hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl yesterday. Before posting in the ISO boards thought I'd check here first to see if anyone had 2011 BCBS available for trade. Trying to back fill a 6 vertical for a buddy and need this last vintage. Thanks!

You did nail the score and that is why I wasn't worried even after Seattle made that ridiculously lucky grab and had 2nd in goal from the 1. Additionally you were only 1 point away from taking home the beer. Don't worry though I have a 2nd LIF to come in the near future since I owe one more.

There's been a case of this sitting on the floor at my distributor for the last 6 months+ ... It could be a 6 month old case, or it could have been replaced 10 times, I have no idea; but anytime I've been in there it has been available for the taking. It's a 12 bottle (12.7oz) case, somewhere in the $80-$100 ballpark; if anyone is interested (in the whole case, I don't need any myself) I'm happy to box up all twelve for a label/pp.

Oh wow, yeah I've not had Damnation but would definitely be interested... but only in maybe 2 bottles lol

Even with a net $0 cost I'm not really in a place where I can break up the case enough to send 1 or 2 at a time; I have like 11 boxes going out soon, hopefully within the next week, and the time commitment of packing them all up is what is going to make it take a week instead of them all going out today/tomorrow as it is. Adding another half dozen is prohibitive.

I have to make this offer 'all or nothing' unfortunately, but @_RL_ seems to be offering singles.

Oh I definitely wasn't implying I wanted you to pick it up, I was just more expressing shock in the fact that it's just.... apparently super available out your way

I wouldn't say "super available", that distributor is particularly good, and I know where to look. With that said, Damnation is by far easier to find than the other RR sours.

Oh also all this said, @_RL_ I'd definitely be interested in at most 2 bottles, though not sure what you/your friend are looking for in return

Probably IPAs/DIPAs but nothing too crazy since, as @LehighAce06 noted, Damnation is easier to get than other RR beers. I'll send you a message but I wanted to post here in case anyone else was interested.

Big shout out to @phuntasy @PA-Michigander and @kgncfl for hooking me up with some surprise birthday bottles, NG R&D Wild Peach and Bruery Oude Tart w/ Cherries. Big wants.

    You guys rock.

Also that card was awesome Nick. I get the Mike Mike Mike Mike thing at wok all the time.

Probably because Damnation isn't a RR sour  While its definitely Russian River, unless something has gone wrong in the bottle it isn't sour. It's a Belgian Strong or a Belgian Pale, except for Damnation 23 which is a Tripel. While very good, I don't think Damnation is in the same class as the RR sours. Thankfully on my last trip to CA I was able to pick some up, so have Sanctification, Temptation, Supplication, and Consecration at home (and drank three of those at our Super Bowl share yesterday). Unfortunately I only have one bottle of each left and was never able to find Beatification :slight_frown:

For those that haven't had it, Damnation is absolutely worth tracking down, but the RR sours are, to me, in a different league.

Touche; I was lumpking the 375mL bottles together as "RR sours" when I perhaps should have said "RR Belgians"; though if you go by BA for the style, some aren't "Belgian" either.

I think a lot of people agree with you about it being in a different class (myself included, I just didn't want to say it first); I've seen some trade requests that actually specify "RR except Damnation"

edit: As much easier as Damnation is to get, Beatification is that much harder. I was lucky to share a bottle with a friend and it's fantastic, especially if you're building a horizontal I recommend you trade for one (and Framboise for a Cure, it doesn't have the "tion" in it, but is DAMN good nonetheless, just unfortunately no easier to get than Beatification).

When I was out there in October '13 I brought home 2 of each bottle they had available at the time, drank one set a week or so later and just brought the rest out of the cellar; also added Sanctification and Supplication to the set. My original intent was to do them as a tasting, but I've since amassed so many "tasting sets" (verticals, horizontals, ba/non-ba, etc) that I need to just start drinking some
