Picked up a few bottles to cellar today and I was just wondering is there any way to tell what year the bottles I have were brewed in?

Date should be printed on the neck.

I have an '08 where the neck printing is still pretty vivid; in my experience they don't fade too much. Should be there.

Mhmmm that's odd I just checked the bottle in my cellar and it has the date on it. The one I drank last night however did not

DFH switched to bottles with a shark on them in 2013 (somebody can correct me here, but I think that's when the 12oz bottle switch happened), so if it has a embossed shark you know its no more than 2 years old.

Some of the bottles I have had the date was very difficult to see or find.

Yup, I wish that all breweries would just put the date on the labels instead.

DFH and Founders bottle dates are printed similarly. Seems to rub off kinda easy.

New is on the left for those not sure. I just looked at mine from a few years ago and they are etched on the neck

    Enjoy

Funny, I've found with DFH date stamps that if you look at them too hard (ie, if you furrow your eyebrows) that shit wipes right off. I have various vintages of stuff (mostly Burton) and half of the stamps are illegible despite my care.

If you're just getting them now they are mostly likely the ones from january. Pretty sure all the ones I got recently were like 1/14/15 or something like that
