9.99 per 4 pack is pretty good, it's more than that at the brewery haha

I'm pretty sure I paid $8.99 (?), but it could have been $9.99 if that's what it's going for elsewhere.

Michael, I paid $11.99 for 4-packs today. I am pretty close to the Troegs brewery but once again you fellows in NJ get beer much, much cheaper than us Pennsylvania folks.

    Non-Cheers to that.:slight_frown:

Yeah- but you can get cheaper beer by the case. These cans seems to be scarce around here- 2 four-packs is probably all I will get this year.

But at a great price point.

    Cheers!

Picked up a case of cans for 49.99 in maryland. Bottles were 42.99 I believe. 4pk cans going for 9.99. These were canned on 1/15 and are drinking absolutely amazing.

In another ongoing thread for Nugget Nectar a number of BAs made observations that there is plenty of Nugget Nectar at their local retailers in bottles but a limited amount in cans.

Maybe @oneraindog can provide some input here? How much of Nugget Nectar was packaged in bottles vs. cans?

    Cheers!

My bottle shop got like 5-7 cases of bottles. Only a case of cans. I'm enjoying the Pint right now. I also would like to know if there will be further Canning of this or if this is a trial run to see what sells more..

Can you share where you spotted cases of cans? I haven't looked real hard, but still haven't seen any. Or even 4-packs for that matter. I was trying to hold out until I saw some cans, but broke down and bought a sixer of bottles Friday.

I tried both, I definitely liked it better bottled. I don't know why but the cans did not taste as crisp and fresh to me. I expected the opposite, so if you can't find cans it is not the end of the world.

Yeah, the bottles were absolutely amazing. Even better than I remember it being the last couple years. I'm sure I'll come across some cans sooner or later but in the meantime I'm more than happy to grab another sixer. At $11.99 I think it's a fantastic deal.

I am surprised to see a handful of people say they thought the bottle was better. I came away feeling very strongly the opposite. I actually thought to myself there was almost no point in getting bottles of this beer now that I had it from the can. For me it was smoother and brought out a fruitiness the bottle lacked. And for me draft was right there with the can.
Anyone else with thoughts on the two vessels?

I agree completely. Having picked up a sixer and 4 pack of cans about a week ago, I made an effort to get more cans after trying each. The cans definitely allowed me to taste more of a fruitiness towards the end compared the bottles. The bottles didn't quite taste right to me this year...not bad, but not as good as years past. I was glad to discover the cans reminded me more of past batches.

Hoppy beers just taste better in cans. Just tried first Nectar of the year. Really good.
