I hope we can have heaps of Dry Dock put through the randall that is filled with bananas.

    I'm drinking a Spontanale. Delicious.

Disliked it. Needed to be a quad, with more malt backbone, dark fruit, to balance out that sweet spice. It was all sweet candy sugar and sweet spice. Disappointing.

Anyway. So far: Oud Beersel gueuze, Spontanale, Lindemans Cuvee Rene, Oud Beersel Kriek, and will finish with a Cantillon Kriek at this rate.

Tonight I'll be enjoying my 2nd of 4 C!tras brought back from NZ last week.

I'm assuming one is talking about Liberty C!tra, the other Kern River Citra

Out here? I doubt it. I had heard it was brewed in 300L batches. One of the bottleshops in Wellington gets a shipment once a year. They try and get 8 cases (6 bottles per case) and max they can get is 5-6 cases, which last about 2 days.

I'd say they'd try and meet NZL demand first before exporting

They are far too small to bother sending beer to Australia.

Didn't Hop Hog get entered in (and win) the Pale Ale category at AIBA? I guess we should amend it in the database here.

This is just me giddy with excitement but....on Monday I will be having pints of all of the Brewdog 2012 IPA is Dead series. Yay me.

It will go on tap at the same time as the Cooper's Ann. Ale. I can't help but feel one will be over shadowed by the other....

Last night I had 3 Knappsteins courtesy of my work (been a while since I've had this and I didn't really see the fuss!)

and then a My Antonia. Nice beer.

My Antonia is a great beer. I really enjoyed it. Glad it is a regular one from Borgo now.

Do you know what hops they use in their version? For some reason I thought I detected NZ hops in it

Off the top of my head: simcoe, saaz and warrior.

Don't take that as gospel though. I've been notoriously unreliable this weekend.

Yer thanks, that's what it said for the DFH version, was wondering if BdB used different hops

Did pick up the Saaz though

I just searched around our office. All the literature for the kegs we're getting are saying that they're keeping the original 3 hops they used. Apparantly Sam chose 2 hops and the Italians chose 1. Old and new world combining, blah, blah, blah.

Pretty simple weekend, Greene King IPA (this is on tap at Charles Dickens) and John Smith's. Nice to have a break from the big USA beers, save some $ and braincells.
