    Wowsers....

Darkness was cheaper per ounce last year at a Timberwolves game!

Look out Happy Gnome - Red Cow is coming for your title of "Excuse me sir/mam?, I think you rang up my tab wrong... no sir, your tab is correct - we really do charge that much for beer" Twin Cities '15 award.

Sometimes I feel like a loser for staying in rather than going out, then I read these prices, I immediately feel better about myself

Heh, I rarely go out. Prices, crowds, driving...too many reasons to stay home and enjoy the beer in my recliner.

I dont even see why it would be more expensive at Surly ($5 for a 10oz pour) than it is at other bars or in cans.

I have to disagree. I can understand how one may prefer Abrasive over Insurrection, or vice versa, but to say they aren't even close is a stretch. Personally, note I say personally because all of this, what we do here is based on opinion, I prefer Insurrection. Both are really nice IPAs and it's nice to have them readily available in our market. I'm one of the few on this site that recall the bad old days, so my judgement tends to be less harsh overall I guess.

They charged me $8.88 for a 10 oz pour. The glass was basically a champagne glass. It says 10oz pour right on the menu.

Interestingly they have different pour sizes and prices between the Row Cow Mpls and Red Cow St.Paul. At least according to the online menus. Mpls 12oz pout $8. St.Paul 10oz pour $7.

Exactly what I was served and saw on Friday. It has come to a tipping point to me, just not worth it anymore.

Hmm interesting. a week ago (1/24) it was $6 for 10 oz at the St. Paul location. Almost everything else on the menu was $6 as well. I assume it was to keep it simple with the influx of people coming in from the Crashed Ice event.
Saturday evening (1/31) it was $7 for 10 oz.

Credit for my watchful eye must go to opwog.

Unfortunately I think Abrasive only goes through February.

When it started in late October '13 it went through med Fed '14 last year. With it not starting until mid Jan this year, hopefully they'll be canning it into April or even May.

I read somewhere that even though they got a late start on it this year they will continue with the regular schedule. Otherwise all their other seasonal would be out of line too. You can blame the new brewery on less Abrasive this year :slight_frown:.

I'm not sure if California descended on the south metro they could sop up all the Abrasive out there right now, especially the first canning run. After a long search tonight, I had to drive to St. Paul to avoid playing Abrasive routlette.

Yep, I'm looking at this too. Went to one place today (Haskell's downtown) and had a ton of 11/13 Abrasive. Guess I start looking in earnest tomorrow for the second canning run.
