Yeah it's definitely more about finding it, you're right on both counts that it'd be from 2012, and few people would bother hanging onto that bottle so long. That's why I'll be satisfied just adding Barrel Aged to the set; I have way too many "sets", be they horizontal or vertical or some of each, to hold onto them all indefinitely.

 

Speaking of, an update on SixterCAN - target has been selected, box contents are all acquired, I just need to track down an exterior box suitable for (hopefully) many many trips. I'll get it out as soon as I can, but I want to make sure the box itself is good enough not just its contents.

My first couple sips were pretty boozy. Last couple have been smooth and coffee heavy. Still making my mind up on it.

 

It's interesting that you got a boozy flavor out of it, I thought that it hides its 12% really well. I wonder if drinking temperature could create that much of a variation?

Yeah I agree -- I was worried about the 12%, but finished off a small growler pretty quickly Sunday.

 

I actually went about 18 hours without checking the site from yesterday midday to this morning, and was shocked at how little was posted. But I think we are all resting after the bazillion Super Bowl LIF's.

 

Someone get @Clarkson a beer!

 

I've actually been really busy at work, plus have some other stuff going on, and my reaction this morning was "oh thank goodness I didn't miss too much".

And @Clarkson should be spending his spare time working on our master BIF spreadsheet
