Agree with @treznor. While I like good beer, there are limits on the insanity I will go to for the beer (and therefore that I would want someone else to go through for said beer). I hate mornings and I hate waiting, so that sounds awful. I'll also be interested in the turnout for this deal as that sounds like the wait at the most recent Maine Dinner release, which I would think would draw a much larger crowd.

 

Im planning on going very early for the next ANTEAD release.

 

LOL that I already have a box A random selection of whatever is good works fine for me; heard good things about them back when they were first opening, but I haven't had a chance to grab anything from them yet.

Its funny cause those that got there EARLY, had no issues with how they ran it last year. Those of us that got there at 10am (2 hours before opening) were mildly pissed off, those that got there later than 10am were shut out. Im ok with 2-4 bottle limits.

 

@treznor @_RL_,no problem at all! I want to hook you up with some good beer. Those God damn tickets are mine!!

 

They had no issues because they were able to get a case, which was an absurd limit (even after it was cut to 6 bottles). I love the way Carton does it, no ridiculous lines, gets the beer to their locals/regulars.

At Kane, there was a significant issue with people just getting back at the end of the "inside" line and doubling up on their limits. Their anniversary release was run much better, so hopefully they've learned.

 

I know that was a joke about those there early. LOL. I watched the last vanilla get sold and there was no security on line jumping. funny cause by the time I got to buy mine, the people in front and behind me weren't the same people as when I was outside.

Yeah the were going to limit the 1 case person to 1/2 per person wasn't really a "limit" and people like @devilfluff didn't get any variants and was limited to 4 regular.

I was annoyed especially considering I unjustly feel like I am entitled. I've been going to Kane since they were 2 months old, I remember the first time I went there it was literally my wife, Michael Kane and I standing around shooting the shit while drinking beer. Michael Kane's father would walk around giving cookies to the little kids around from a nice little local bakery. Completely different atmosphere now.

Funny

Funny cause I was talking with one of my beer managers today about how Cape May Brewing isn't bottling the right beers and not doing limited releases, and keeping the local beer places stocked with their beers and them trying to sell their beers out by Philly instead. But of course on a typical summer holiday weekend you can't get into CMB much less enjoy the tap house.

 

@jawas - Yankees
