Very excited to be going to this for the first time, and while I'm always happy to have more BA stuff from Goose, I'm looking forward to seeing what all the other guys will bring. I was really impressed by 4 Hands Madagascar at Festibarrel, so hopefully will get a second shot at that one, among many others.

As others have mentioned, MBA tickets sold out in under 30 seconds, which is ridiculous. I got tickets at 12 on the dot, and they kept popping up every few minutes for the next half hour.

This is good practice for buying tickets for DLD...

DLD is a very different animal

Yeah I know, I got tickets for it last year (I'm literally referring to the act of buying tickets, not the fests themselves). I just meant getting my F5 skills ready for DLD ticket sales (that and potentially having to be in a queue before the official sale time).

Yeah I get ya. Consider yourself lucky. Over the last 5 years I am 5/5 on stout fest and 0/4 on DLD. So even buying the tickets is a different animal. Thankfully, there are other means to acquire tickets.

Oh, yeah, I had the good luck of being early to the queue last year, which was really the only way to get tickets. The only nice thing is, with DLD those general admission tickets should be easy enough to get, as long as you're okay with buying no Dark Lord (I have yet to get a golden ticket, so BA DL remains a magical rumor to me).

Are there any MBA members who missed out on tickets still looking for them? If so there are at least two available right now on BPT for MBA Presale.

Actually, after a quick refresh I noticed that there are some General Admission ones available for sale as well.

So has anyone seen any breweries mention what they will be bringing?

I was curious about this as well; I'm hoping 4 Hands brings Madagascar so I can have my gf taste it, but otherwise I'm just generally curious.

Middle Brow is bringing an Imperial Stout and a Sour Porter. GI Clybourn will have Vainglorous there as well.

Yeah, that's part of why I hoped they'd do it again. Won't be able to complain either way, I'd imagine!

Sweet, I never got to try Vainglorious, and have heard awesome things.

I would imagine this is going to be a hell of a warm up for St. Patty's day (which will be celebrated that night in Chicago).

Touche! However, it's spelled "Patty" way too much for me to care about spelling (which I guess is sad, since I'm Irish).

I poured Vainglorious at FOBAB this year while volunteering and people went googly-ape-shit over it.

As described by one large gentleman: "It's like Bramble & Coffee had a baby".

    Apt description, fantastic beer!

That would be the perfect description of Vainglorious, I bypassed a lot of stuff to keep getting pours of that and Nutulhu at FOBAB

This will be my first stout fest, somehow I got lucky and scored a couple of tickets. Is it pretty easy to navigate? Any recommendations from the seasoned pros around here? Am I correct in thinking that's it's possible to order food off the menu there? Thanks for any advice you guys can provide.

While I've never been, and thus will leave this open to the people that have already gone, I'll point out that this will be the first Stout Fest since GI Clybourn revamped part of the brewpub, so they may do something different with the layout.

They are shutting down the brewpub to the public so that should be more space. They could have also sold more tickets, however.
