I had lived in Anchorage for three years until moving back to Minneapolis area this summer. I wasn't able to score any ADWTD batch 1 while I was up there (did get to try it at Culmination though) and can't get batch 2 around here cause Shelton Bros doesn't distribute to MN. Hoping some gets to nearby Wisconsin. Was one of the best beers or BWs I've ever tasted.

Definitely missing the Brown Jug Warehouse with $7 Anchorage shelf beers and great growler options. Definitely don't miss the 5 dollar footlongs being 6 and 5 dollar taco bell boxes being 7.

HAHAHAHA, but it's one the "Value Menu" so clearly it's a good value.

Any bottles still hanging around shelves in Portland?

Saw 5 bottles sitting on a shelf in Seattle a couple days ago. Our shelf turds beat other regions' shelf turds any day of the week.

Chucks still has some. Full Throttle bottles too. Maybe a few other places.

You sure can't call a beer that's only been out 2 weeks a shelf turd.

Given its reputation, I think it qualifies.

Not at $32 + tax a bottle. If it was $20 it would be long gone.

Hardly, considering the quadrupled the production this year.

Well, that would be why it became a shelf turd isn't it!

99 Bottles still has a handful of them. I picked one up for $30.99.

I really hope Anchorage doesn't make any compromises in terms of quality because I know their 2nd batch of ADWTD didn't spend as much time in the cognac barrels as did the first batch. Anyone try both the second and 1st batch?

2014 tasted just as good as 2013 to me.

There are plenty of beers that cost this much (or more) and/or were produced at this volume (or more) that don't last nearly this long, especially in some other markets. Just don't ask me to name any. Besides, I suspect @Eighty was being just a little bit facetious in referring to this beer as a shelf turd.

In seriousness, I don't expect it'll sit around too long. But yeah, given its reputation, I really was expecting it to fly off shelves, and I suspect it actually will fly off shelves pretty much anywhere it shows up outside the PNW.

I thought it would fly off the shelves as well, but it sounds like Seattle got more than Portland did. Beer Junction got a lot. They still had quite a few bottles left when I was there last Saturday. Also surprised how many cases of BBomb and Coffee Cinnamon BBomb they had on the floor. That's been hanging around since November.

I believe someone up above said something rather poignant about our shelf turds...
