You're probably not in their distro region, but Jack's Abby Lashes Lager is a full-bodied, slightly spicy, somewhat hoppy amber lager at 6.8% abv. It's available on a rotating basis and whenever a new batch shows up I grab a sixer.

If we can include Ales, Frankenmuth Old Detroit Amber Ale is very good. Not really a lager though, but not too far off...

Was going to say Full Sail Amber ... but I mean the Amber Ale. Alaskan AmberAle is nice too. For red lagers it's Brooklyn and SABL, no question. I wish I had a go-to for a German Amber lager, but I've yet to hit on one in my distro ...... ideas?

I'd say Anchor Steam Beer almost hits the definition even though it's a California Common
