Loved the old labels, too, that's one 'update' I wish hadn't happened!

For me, 2 to 3 years is the perfect age. Not that it isn't good fresh or at one year of course.

contact the brewery and ask. If they do distribute there they should be able to give you the name of a distributor. They are good about answering emails.

Yeah, just not really a hops + whiskey barrel guy. The combination just comes off as really grating.

Definitely going to keep an eye out after those reviews! I enjoyed their ba stout and ive been told that (when not infected) the peruvian morning is excellent. So i have high hopes for this one

This has very little to no discernible hop presence. It's very much an English style Barleywine I'd say. Marshmallows, vanilla, brown sugar, butterscotch.....those are the flavors I get from this beer. It's glorious!

Never had this but have really been enjoying the stout this year. Thanks for the heads up and looking forward to it!

Anyone seen it in Chicago yet?

It tastes like hoppy metal to me.

    LOL....nice!!

Agree that's it's definitely an English barley wine...malt forward with great barrel presence. Polar opposite of bigfoot, behemoth and those other hop bomb American barleywines.

Great beer, I tried my first this past New Years Eve. It's one of my favorite barrel aged barleywines out there.

Lol eight cases, why save any for other people when you can take it all? How dare they not sell you the entire stock.

I love this stuff though, I actually prefer it over Sucaba :grimacing: I got like five pours of it at the Great Taste. Even with all the crazy stuff I tried it was one of my favorites of the fest by a long shot.

One store in Milwaukee was reportedly down to 6 4 paks today until the wife's cousin got two.
