And, just finished a run of a show at school tonight, so celebrating a little at home. It's really too bad the wife doesn't like stouts... ( or is it...). Guess I'll have to drink it myself.

 

My initial response to a mead horizontal would personally be a no (though I have little experience with mead).

I think, however, that if you have enough "yes" responses and clearly indicate that the box will be a mead (or beer and mead) box in your initial post, then each BA could decide if he or she wants to sign up for your leg of the horizontal-hood. We should probably be careful about departing from "brewery horizontal" too much or too frequently, but I think occasionally bending the rules could be interesting too (Just so long as everyone is aware of the 'bending' ahead of time).

I can understand the appeal of joining a BIF to get some awesome beer in a complete mystery box, but it's way more fun to BS and banter with the rest of the group and really get to know them.

I get that some people have time restrictions and aren't a slave to these boards like I am, or Kevin but a little more participation would be nice. On the reverse, it does help not having 20+ pages to catch up on after missing 2 days.

 

Little bottleshare with a friend, bad news was the Hommage was infected, tasted like straight vinegar unlike the last one I tried. Big thanks to @PA-Michigander for some of the brews!

So I had someone I've sent beer to before, but not traded with, reach out to me and ask about participating in this fabulous group. He even told me he knew a LIF would be appreciate for him to join. While I'm far from an official representative of this group I think he'd be welcome here if not a surplus from his state.

Just throwing that out there so if someone joins rather anonymously ya'll won't be surprised. I think I did pretty well with @Justdoit1234!

 

You wanna give us a hint who this is? I mean "someone I've sent beer to" doesn't narrow it down much in your case.....

 

I actually don't just in case he decides not to join this jungle gym of a group! I actually already gave a clue or two to be honest.

 

We are a pretty inclusive bunch, I think. If your new person wants to join, have at it.

However, we do have 1 rule: must love beer.

 

Not yet, I have a brewery in mind, but I need to figure out how many of their beers I can get in a reasonably short period of time. They are very small. I might need a second choice. I'll have a request up this week either way.

 

Sorry for the confusion. This is actually a maple glazed donut provided by Petrol Station with our pour of CBS (not a bagel). I provided the bacon for our share group.
