So today I made a simple trip to Al's of Hampden/Pizza Boy to meet @devilfluff and his lovely wife in order to procure some Carton Regular Coffee and possibly a few "other" minor things. It ended up being a mini-Locals get together as @_RL_ and @PA-Michigander joined us as well.

We had a good time hanging out and talking, @PA-Michigander was even nice enough to buy a bottle of Pizza Boy Afternoon Delight for the table to share.

When it was time for leave @devilfluff gave me my Regular Coffee and a few "extra's":

Wow is all I have to say to this, I gave him a sixer of local stuff and even a want that he mentioned earlier but man, I do not feel worthy of this. The growler on the left is Kane Overhead (Want!), and the far right Crowler is Carton Boat (Another Want!). Wow Jesse, thanks so much, you are awesome!

But that's not all, @PA-Michigander was waiting in the wings to hand me an unsolicited sixer of wants:

Once again, wow, I'm speechless Nick. You sir are also awesome and somehow, someway I will pay you back for this.

Just to let everyone know, if you meet these guys, be prepared for awesomeness. I got met to get Regular Coffee from @devilfluff and have some Pizza Boy beers with @PA-Michigander and @JNForsyth. I ended up getting Heady, Tweak, BCBCS, HopSlam, Abrasive, and several other amazing beers. Retaliation is in the works, but I wanted to warn everyone - watch yourselves.

Also, if anyone wants some Grapefruit Sculpin, HMU. Bought a case on the way back to Baltimore after the Pizza Boy meetup.

Not sure yet Steve, probably not anywhere for a beer being that I'll be working all night. Just a quick bottle exchange I presume. But I'll let you know. Hell if the 3 of us are lucky they'll tap that keg of CBS at the mansion tomorrow..

#VBS Jolly Pumpkin Calabaza Blanca. I racked 1 gallon of clean Witbier (Allagash White Clone) onto the bottle dregs. Plan on adding some fruit at some later point. The base beer is a wedding gift to our friends in April.

#VBS - This one is for you @devilfluff Carton Regular Coffee:

Holy balls, does taste exactly like coffee with cream and sugar. I take my coffee black but if it was like this (and high ABV) I'd probably switch to cream and sugar.

A place south of Harrisburg - I guess in York? They have a sign on the side of the road that they have "craft beer" so I decided to stop in. There is also a Hess gas station and a some other fast food places but it's not quite in York.

This was 14 which is actually way different than 13 since they added cinnamon bark. The coconut is not as present which is what made 13 so damn awesome. But I'm afraid it's fallen off on that one, so who knows anymore. I just drink 'em and am happy with the result.

Thanks, one of the perks of living in a cold ass limestone building with exposed walls, they make a nice backdrop.

#unofficialVBS ... top secret... no pictures allowed...

So... I was at Casey Blending & Brewing for their monthly bottle release yesterday... and I was generously allowed to partake in what will be next months release (with numerous variations in different barrels with different fruits to follow)... it was called by Troy Casey, their "American-style Gueuze" or their "Belgian-style sour", but will probably, eventually come to be known as "Oak Theory"... yeah, that's the working name for Casey's upcoming sour blends and their variants... Oh, yeah, also... it was freaking unbelievable... Casey Saison is great. East Bank is better (IMO)... the Fruit Stands are a notch above both... but jeeeeeeezus... Oak Theory ( if that name holds up ) is going to just redefine what we can do with sours here in the US.... homerism aside, seek these brews out when they start dropping in March and beyond...
