I imagine the reviews are for the low point version they sold at the brewery. This version may taste/be the exact same, but I never got a chance to try the low point version so I'll never know.

I will say the vanilla version (low point again - thanks Oklahoma laws) they had at the brewery last Saturday was outstanding.

Don't feel bad. When's the last time anyone bought a Prairie 4-pack?

Yep, that's my point. They don't make much in four packs, so I can understand why someone assumed it'd be sold as a single.

Can't wait to get some Limo Tint. Prairie is doing extremely well for brewing in a state with such archaic beer laws. Chase has pointed out the limitations brewers face in Oklahoma and how thinking outside the box has brought them to this level. Little by little the laws are swinging to favor brewers and their customers. Just this month, Oklahoma senator Stephanie Bice (R) introduced SB 383 for the allowance of refrigeration of high point beer in Oklahoma liquor stores. Passing the bill into law will be a huge leap forward for all parties involved. Changes like this will give Prairie and others the push they need to step up their game. Let's hop they can git-r-done.

I think they have enough good information to make the right choice. There is no good reason for a no vote. Any denial would certainly be suspicious of some underhanded personal agenda in my opinion. It will not require a vote of the public and could be law by the end of this year. We have enough "young" legislators here now to get it done. I sent emails to my reps, but I realize now that calling them is the way to go. If they pass SB 383, I'd like to buy Senator Bice a beer.

I really do hope it passes....but I mean... There are some...interesting people in power there, and I wouldent be surprised too much if it got shot down. Again, I DO hope it passes! It would be great for Oklahoma craft beer!

Taste isn't the only reason I buy so much Prairie brews. Its also what the Oklahoma BA's are saying.

When Jester King was new to me in 2012, I kept buying them retail at my local HEB and at the brewery for the purpose of busting a nut of taste buds but also support a brewery active in improving Texas brew laws.

Not sure if Prairie and co. is doing any ground work to change the laws but they are forcing the hand of the legislature to get those archaic laws outta here. Can't wait to try LT

Uh... last I checked Temptress was $9.99 a four pack. A little more than what you pay for one 12oz Bomb!

Maybe he's talking about the bombers they're going to put out of the Temptress variants (Raspberry, Sin Mint, etc).

That's because I (we?) find BB Temptress to be worth $13/22 oz. I do not enjoy Prairie's offerings enough that I believe they're worth $8/12 oz to me.

Also, BBT is once a year. Prairie has some sort of one off selling for that price just about every week, it seems.

And you can laugh out loud all you want, guy.

Possibly, but Temptress was all that was mentioned. However, I know that regular Temptress is not sold in bombers and BA is, but no mention was made of BA Temptress. If indeed BA Temptress is being discussed in the above post, I think $13 is a fair price for a barrel aged stout, especially when it is in a 22oz. format. What was the going price/oz. for the latest barrel aged Prairie beers?

Lots of talk on Prairie price...never dies down. But remember how much it costs to source ingredients, esp vanilla beans. These beers aren't just a plain stout.

My comments were more about comparing a "possible BBA" 22oz Temptress price against a 12oz. Bomb! Since they are different beers with different packaging sizes, I thought it was a bad comparison and was just pointing that out.

I agree that the Prairie price debate is far from going away, and ultimately it's is not up for me to say. Their cost/profit analysis will tell them what is a fair price to charge, and the market will tell them if they got it correct. Apparently they have, since they sell so well. And that's great, good for Prairie and good for us. I love their beer, and will continue to buy a lot of it. I am just not going to chase down, or wait in line for a $13 12oz. of anything.

Also, since this thread is about Limo Tint, I am excited to try this one. My wife and I really enjoy Temptress, and I would love to compare the two. Plus the little extra of added cacao nibs makes it even more interesting.

Was this approved for any of the Jan label approvals? I did not see it in the Feb. ones.

Kegs were approved in January. Nothing in the DB yet for bottles.
