    If a couple of extra flavors and some extra malt in the brown ale doesn't disqualify it from discussion here, then this one has to be the best of the bunch: it's from Short's and is called The Woodmaster. It is a double brown ale that is fermented with maple syrup and pecans. Yum!

    Upslope Brown is my favorite brown ale by a large margin. I also love Ellie's and Tumbler.

    Telluride Face Down (in the) Brown is the best everrr. Rogue Hazelnut Brown (it's like a Kinder Bueno in a bottle!), Civil Life American Brown, SS Nut Brown, Tumbler.

    I like brown ales a lot, and I'm always stoked to have a Smuttynose Old Brown Dog, an Anchor Brekle's Brown, a Bar Harbor Real Ale by Atlantic Brewing, or a Sierra Nevada Tumbler (now relegated to mix packs, alas, but resurrected from the dead, yay!).

    But my numero uno would be Pretty Things St. Botolph's Town. I drink a lot of it and haven't seen it for a while, so I'm stoked to hear a new batch is in the works.
