Awesome turn you took this thread Lehigh. No idea on the availability of the beer, just that Kyle sent it and I drank it. Damn tasty too.

Not a CS reserve beer. In fact the CS reserve society is officially done for good now. Flor D Lees was released in December at the brewery and bottle shops around town.

 

The Funkatorium is really nice, I'll agree. I was there for a sour beer festival (Asheville Funk) before it officially opened and it was a really interesting space with barrels everywhere. Was very cool to see how they ended up turning it into a functioning bar. Nothing like an entire bar (minus -maybe- a beer or two) of nothing but sours!

Yes, having almost nothing but sours was a dream for me. Too bad I will miss their Red Angel release. This sounds so good.
Somehow, my favorite beer for that night was the Dark Age Bourbon Stout. So well balanced!

 

My guess probably not for another year or two. New Glarus tends to wait a couple years between beers like that. For example, I believe the last Enigma batch was in '12. But now that they have their fruit cave up in full force they should start putting out a lot more sour beers!

Awww, man, Dark Age is awesome! Only had it once and that was about 9 months ago. On one hand it kind of sucks that you never know what they'll have so you can't count on something that you really liked being on tap. On the other its nice that there's ALWAYS something new (unless you're their multiple times a week every week) on. Just in their saison series (where they basically make it once and then move on, though I think a couple of them have become regular beers and gotten a new name) they're up to #41...

Depending on how late 'late March' is, I might be able to get some for you. I'm out of the country the first three weeks of March (which means I'm missing OHB Omega Point, but I'm sending my wife to that release since its in town) but if they do it the third weekend I -might- be able to get to the release. We'll see

It is still way too early to even talk about them. Wearing a Packers shirt to the gym a week ago the guy at the desk wanted to talk and talk and I could have lost it right then and there. No offense to @kgncfl but the Pack would have crushed the pats.

Looks like my wife for sure get to come home tomorrow. Very excited and a little nervous, but can't wait to get back to the real world as we've been living in a hospital 27days. Also, I had an opportunity to get back to the BIF and beer trading world today and sent out 4 boxes. 3 have known recipients and 1 is one of them there ninja boxes. Hope all the targets enjoy the contents
