I've always been a big fan of Rogue Hazelnut Brown. That's probably my number one. Big Sky Moose Drool is another favorite.

Upslope. Easily became my favorite of the style. I keep it stocked in my fridge at all times.

As I recall Cabin Fever from New Holland is a tasty Brown ale. It's nice to see some love for Rogue on this thread.
Many nods to Smutty's brown which I totally agree. Speaking of which I just picked up a 4 pack of Really Old Brown Dog
(New to the 4 pack format...True ? ) & it was the bomb. Malty & oaky Really really good

One thing about brown ales I think people forget is that it is great food. It's very versatile when it comes food pairings. Between saison and brown ales you can pretty much pair with anything and have tasty meal. While I LOVE IPAs, stouts and sours, they are not always the best choice when having a nice dinner.

Cigar City's 'Bolita Double Nut Brown Ale' is probably the only brown ale that I can think of that I'm permanently ISO. Amazing stuff.

A lot of you guys (not all, mind you, but a lot) seem like you don't like a brown ale unless it has been doctored up with other flavors, such as coffee (Surly Bender and the like). My wife says she likes baked potatoes, but what she really likes is using the baked potato to get to the cream cheese, bacon, and chives. The baked potato is just a delivery mechanism.

Do you guys really like brown ales, or just the "enhancements"?
