    Can't believe I didn't mention Hollister, but someone already had. Great description of them.

    A brewery near a CHP station?
    Did KnB price gouge on the vanilla? Five years ago they had old Damnation, Redemption, and maybe Pliny for $20 each.
    Last year they had FW barrel-aged bombers for $25-$45.

    Yeah... their beers are pretty good and they also make their own root beer which is fantastic.
    I believe they sold the vanillas for $35 a pop, but I haven't heard of a store in CA that didn't price gouge on those. Their usual selection is probably $1-$2 markup.

    I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Figueroa Mtn. taproom in Buellton. Their Lizard's Mouth is criminally underrated, IMO (OTOH, I drank it as fresh as it gets).

    I loved it from the tasting room, but it's not the same from the bottle. In fact, I felt like they were two different beers.
