Helping to celebrate urwithdave's anniversary with his wife tonight. Warmed up with a Tilquin gueuze, then Allagash Coolship Resurgam, now a St. Lamvinus.

 

I saw it in the bottle shop the other day (along with a few other stillwater brews) and couldn't resist. I'm definitely a stillwater fanboy. Was sold at an event I went to where cellar door was pouring. It was far and away the highlight next to at least 50 other beers. Not only that but Brian was pouring at the event. I ran into Brian at another event in upstate NY and got to talking to him and he generously shared several of his barrel aged treatments with me that he had set aside.

That was a bit of a chore to get. I have a trade partner who regularly hooks me up with everything Stillwater and he was able to get the glass. He knew how bad I wanted the glass and after a handful of trades he sent it my way. I email Brian every now and again about getting more and he keeps telling me it is on his list, but if you try to keep up with his world travels you quickly understand why the glass is not exactly at the tip top of his list...hopefully if more glasses ever happen again, I'll get an email. Even if the same glass, I'd love a backup just in case (I have butter fingers with glassware). Glassware is almost as fun as the beer we fill it with.
