Nice! I loved La Cumbre's May's Maize Belgium strong ale collab they had a few years ago. When was their last Belgium style beer?

The Il Vicino Belgium Golden and Strong ales over the years have been nice. Even Marble has had a few solid offerings. I will have to check this out.

At LC, I do see people buying up quite a few of the 4th anniv. barley wines, as well as the smoked porter bombers. I'm not sure they are saving for themselves (not a bad idea), saving for friends who can't make it into town, or are trying to trade. But many of the local brews are highly under appreciated on a national front.. It seems the only hype that builds is the LC nelson hopped based beers (for good measure). I love those guys.. Marble's Imperial Red over the years has been around at random times. So its release for me can wait for the weekend. But a hopped up beast by LC cannot. It's almost to a downfall of Marble that IR has been available at random times through the years. The actual wait (one yr.) appears much greater for the nelson beers.. But that just may be marketing... Marble fills the void whenever they can with DIPA, Imperial Red, or other great beers at any given time. I guess both have their advantages.

As for SF, until they get that tap room built in ABQ, buying a bomber of ECS will be a true challenge for me on a $$$ front. I've bought their Kriek and enjoyed it. I get their Imperial Java stout once in awhile (reasonably priced for sure). But the specialty stuff needs to wow me just a little bit more.

Welp, somehow La Cumbre dropped the ball and had the Tripel in bottles and not on tap. Not sure what the point of that is. Might as well hit Jubilation if I just wanted to pick up a bottle. Seems they took a page from the Santa Fe Brewing playbook only offering in bottles and not on draft.

@Oktoberfiesta you missed the ECS Belgian at Sister Bar a week or two ago. I had it today at Cowgirl in Santa Fe and it's pretty solid. I don't it has the "wow" factor, but it's good.

I'll be arriving in ABQ on Saturday. Hope to pick up the tripel and some other La Cumbre to take home with me.

Sorry to disappoint. This is a tap room only release and we bottle conditioned the whole batch. Remember, the biggest beer bar in the world is in Belgium and they have what, 10 beers on draft. Point is, these styles are simply better when bottle conditioned.

That's fair enough. I had a feeling it was related to bottle-conditioning.

I look forward to trying ASAP.

Not sure who to ask or where to post this...Is Full Nelson from La Cumbre rotating release? I am obsessed with Nelson Sav hops and need this beer in my life?

Yes it is. It was brewed on Tuesday and is set for an early April release.

^Father or Full? I guess it doesn't really matter. I enjoy them all. I believe Father was released April of last year, and Full in August. This year looking the same?

Did Imperial Red sell out on draft at the Marble taproom or was it bottle only? Didn't see it there yesterday
