What I heard it was a fluke pretty much. There were a few cases for events, but a keg or kegs made it so the distributor got it and only a few top accounts got just 3 or 6 bottles. Sounds like most stores were very quiet about it, only giving it to their top customers or first come, first serve with no real announcement.

For those with a lot of money burning a hole in their pockets:

"Abraxas and Sump will be available to be consumed in The Nova at 11am when The Nova opens tomorrow. Abraxas - $46, Sump - $36"

Casanova's/The Nova have always been on the pricey side but...holy shit.

I saw that too! They did respond that it was the "standard 2x markup" for serving in the wine bar side of Nova. Similar to what restaurants do when marking up wine. Not that I am agreeing with a $50 bottle of Abraxas!

CWBBBW seems to be dropping all over this week. Hard to overstate how good that beer is and for $12-$13/4pk and enough to go around, it's almost as if it's not worth chasing $25 bombers of super-limited BA beer...almost...

those 'on-site' upcharges are pretty ridiculous. makes me not want to shop there anymore. i occassionally snag something there and pay their 'convenience fee' for them having beers not available relatively nearby, but some
of their prices are quite laughable.
