Kulmbacher Edelherb Premium Pils bottling date

    Couldn't find anything on here or from googling it. The number on the back looks like a julian date, starts with 2151, so May 30th? I go to this liquor store all the time and it just came in.

    I get November 21. 215th day of 2011.

    Hmm, still tasted awesome. Distributed by Shelton Bros, would that matter? Was that a guess, or is that definitely the date?

    Should have also mentioned it was 2151221, not just 2151.

    Well based on 2151, it is in November. Ive never used anything longer. Id ask Shelton Bros. Maybe email or Twitter.

    I did some more looking, and saw this on the bottle dating for Schneider beers:
    Example: 021.09. 021 is the Julian day and 09 is the year. The rest are internal numbers.

    Maybe the 221 is internal and the 2151 is the important part?

    That's what I'm thinking. I e-mailed Kulmbacher first, then I'll try Shelton Bros. Normally I wouldn't care as much, but if my liquor store is going to regularly carry this, I'd like to know how fresh it is. At the end of the day, it tasted fantastic, which is all that really matters.
