FYI Cortland NY BA's. Red Jug Tavern on Central Ave has 3 pints for $5 on Fridays from 4 to 9PM . Sunday afternoon pints are $2 and Saturday Morning Pints are $1!! I had Founders Centennial on tap -was the only person in the place at @ 2pm Sunday. Only a half hour from Syracuse people..

Apparently CNY missed out on IRS? It just didn't ship at all? FLBC in Ithaca never got any in and said they were told the distributor (Sheehan) never got any.

Having lived in the Syracuse area and living in Rochester, I can tell you the difference: Syracuse traditionally has had some great places to drink...but if you want great bars to find great beer, Rochester has Syracuse beat. And between the breweries, the bars, the beer groups, the festivals, and the people involved with and writing about beer, it's far ahead of Syracuse in terms of beer acumen.

I assume you are referring to Stone IRS, which was and I think still is available at Galeville/Byrne Dairy (Liverpool) and also at Auburn....Cheers!!!

I guess what I was really leaning to in my opinion, is the 'community' part. Find me a Rochester or Buffalo thread that's 8 pages long and many months running.

I have mad respect for what's happening in Buffalo and Rochester. There are so many great bars, restaurants and bottle shops in each area that it just tickles me stupid. I cut my teeth on the upstate craft/better beer scene in Syracuse and am, admittedly, slightly biased. That said, this thread, I think, supports my thoughts.

Bottom line, options get better on a monthly basis across upstate and we've only scratched the surface. Upwards and onwards.

Thanks for the heads-up grabbed the second to last bottle at brilbecks last night excited to try it. Btw there was none at the co-op yesterday. How much is it at galeville? It was $8.99 at brilbecks. I usually shop at galeville but we were at blarney last night so it was an obvious easy stop to grab some

It was $8.29 (strange pricing) at Galeville.

I bought the 2nd to last bottle at Galeville, Sunday, at $9 even (with tax). I hope they get more. This beer was awesome!

Good to know. Was afraid I'd miss out on it in Syracuse since I'm not in town right now.

Oh my godddddd I knew it. And I'm guessing the one thing that DIDN'T change is the kilt's contents are still widely available for public viewing. Ugh.

Does anyone have any updates on the future of Clark's ale house?

My most recent beer moment was seeing Ten-Fidy available at Brilbecks a few days ago. First time I've seen it for sale. Expensive though, 14.99 for 4 (still got one though..). But recently, I've been in Chicago catching up with Three Floyds, Two Brothers, and spoiling myself with Allagash (among others).

I forgot my growler in Syracuse, but that means I'll be looking for a fill somewhere when I get back. Any thoughts? I've been meaning to check out the taps at the Sunoco on East Seneca; they had good options (~10 taps) many months ago.

Galeville Bryne Dairy has DFH Positive Contact on tap, but it's expensive. I think it's $18.50 for a growler fill.
