I'm traveling to Boston in a few months and this may be my only opportunity to pick up some Utopias...really need some advice on this. Is it incredibly hard to find? Certain liquor stores to search? Brewery? I'd hate to leave without one so any advice would be great appreciated, thanks! Cheers!

It quite easy to find. The price range is pretty large though from what I see. Finding it at a good price is doable but a bit harder.

The stuff is so expensive and thus out of most craft beer fans' price range it's very much available in good beer stores in CT. I can't imagine it would be all that difficult to find in Boston, but that probably doesn't help you much. Good luck in your search.

Priced at 169 a bottle in western mass if that helps you at all. Local near me had at least 5 or 6 in stock.

Thanks for all the messages. I honestly thought it was more than $169.00. I've heard its $200.00 for the most part and that some bottle shops over-charge for it also. I'm not too worried about the price, I mean I definitely want the best deal I can get but I know it's expensive. I just really want to get one while I can.

Ranges from 165-200 from what I've seen. Like others posted it's very easily found.

$179.99 at Kappys in Medford. At least it's advertised as such - not sure if they actually have it

Are there any bars that pour this?

Sunset Grill in Allston has 2 oz. pours for $22.99. It also appears they sell full bottles for $200, though I'm not sure if they have a to-go license.

Post 390 serves it. I believe 2 ounce pours for 20-something. Great restaurant too with a solid beer list.

Looking for an update on this seeing as I have the same question, but one year later.

I cant afford a $250+ bottle. Especially without ever having tried it.
That being said, I would pay for a taste of it if some place was offering it.

Sunset Grille and Tap in Allston was selling pours when I was there in late December. I do not recall the price and I am unsure if the bottle is still there.

I think the bottles are still at Sunset..unsure if they are trophies or if they have the beer.

I thought the bottles at Sunset were not FULL bottles but literally just the decanter. Not sure but you can def get glasses there. It really is worth sampling, I've always loved it over the years.

Ok. I will try to find an all-elusive Allston winter parking spot. Any idea what year they have?

Cool, I'll have to check that out. I missed it at Post 390 and have been interested in trying a small pour during these cold months.
