Closest Beer to Old Rasputin

    It's more similar to Victory Storm King and Bell's Expedition than Founders Imperial Stout.

    Yeah, agreed. Haven't had an Old Rasputin in a while, so I think FIS is hoppier and a little heavier, but roasty enough to be somewhat similar.

    And as was quoted, FIS is one of the best imperial stouts out there in my opinion (maybe my favorite non-Darkness or Dark Lord release), so your customer got a great beer regardless of anything else.

    FIS is less hoppy, but it's heavier.

    Is it less? It has been literally years since I had an Old Raspy, so that's good to know.

    Yeah, it's less hoppy and heavier/fuller in body.

    You might wish to also consider Grand Teton's Black Cauldron. It's smoother and more complex than Raspy, but really is a great imperial for the price point.
