    Hey BAs! Short question!

I am trying to get into sours. Are there any good sours brewed in Michigan or available in Michigan that are easy to find? As always, thanks!

New Holland Blue Sunday Sour. 2015 was just release and pretty easy to find.

Although I think La Folie (New Belgium) is one of the better sours out there. 14.99 for a bomber.

Cool. I am from the Grand Rapids area. I appreciate your help man. I will look out for the one from New Holland.

New Holland Incorrigible should be out next month. Thought it was incredible last year, especially for the price. I think I paid $4.99/bottle in GR

Arbor makes some great sours. Sodibo might be the best regularly made sour in michigan.

Aren't many of JP's beers either in the funky or sour category? I'm not into this style so I can't say which ones to get, but maybe other beer names by JP will get mentioned.

Also, Bell's Oarsman is a light-sour Berliner Weissbier, and I think it has year-round availability.

Yes all JP are funky/sour. La Roja is a nice starting place IMHO. They have a stout too....I can't think of its name, but its amazing too.

I'd agree with the JP recommendations. La Roja, Bam Biere, Bam Noir, Calabaza Blanca, and Madrugada Obscura (a sour stout!) are all great.

Rodenbach is a great sour as well. You can find it in 12 oz bottles or 22 oz.

I meant this to be the best regularly available sour made in Michigan.

Also check out New Belgium La Folie. The new batch was just released at my local store. Lots of good Belgian sours. I would go to a good bottle store and ask what they suggest.

Madrugada Obscura. Nice funky/tart stout. Also, second the rec on Incorrigible, can't find much better at that price

The stout is Madrugada Obscura. That's my second favorite (regular release) Jolly Pumpkin beer. Their Biere de Mars is outstanding and tough to beat, IMO.

I would endorse Bam Biere and La Roja as introductory JP beers and everything else constitutes a somewhat deeper dive.

Biere de Mars is my favorite JP sour (not counting rarer, grand reserve-type stuff), it's a spring release. They also do some really good draft-only sours (I.e., Rambic/Bambic) that are inexplicably NEVER on tap in the A2 taproom. That taplist is stagnant as hell. /rant

Love NH Blue Sunday. Arbor's Flamboyant is good, not sure when it comes out. They do a few other good ones as well.

My favorites probably come from The Livery in Benton Harbor, but they don't really bottle outside of a few super-limited taproom only releases.

Jolly Pumpkin. Just work you're way through all of them. None are overly "sour", but you'll get the idea.

Not sure how popular Leelanau is up there, but I'm a fan of their Golden Ale. Saison / Funky / Sour.
