That'd be absolute minimum. Why not start the Terreux right and give us 8/16? Or at least 8/8 Hahaha

If you've come to the point of craft beer that you are critiquing the label, maybe it's time to move on.

Thank you for solidifying my point. No one is negating the fact that "Marketing is everything in a retail business." So allow me to add, If you have come to the point that you are critiquing a brewery's marketing decision, maybe it's time to move on.

Why? This is a website that self-selects for people who are passionate about craft beer and this thread in particular is going to attract people who are fans of the Bruery and therefore care about their decisions. Are the labels and branding more important than the beer? Of course not, but that's not the point. When you're on a website about any specific topic, it's natural for the conversation to drift towards tangents of that topic, and caring about a given brewery's branding and marketing is a natural sideline to discuss.

Yeah...no. If I don't get double the reserve allotment I'm going to flip my lid!

Sadly, if I remember correctly last year it was 2/4 but there was a 2nd chance sale on it.

I'm aware and I agree with EVERYTHING you said! And caring about a given brewery's branding and marketing is to be admired, if it's indeed done with the best of intentions and not for the sole fact of trying to be ostentatious. When the "typography" and "stroke" of a label are being questioned, that fine line between passionate and pretentious start to become quite clear.

Shrug. I'm a professional designer and a beer geek. There are a few of us here on BA. To me, the kind of thing you're calling "pretentious" is more like a nice overlap of my livelihood and one of my favorite hobbies. Does that make me pretentious?

If you're getting into internet arguments about other's being critical of a brand's marketing, perhaps it's time to move on...
