Found this today at Whole Foods. As I reached out to grab it I heard my wife's voice in my head "do you really need more beer?!?!?!". Glad I ignored it. Its delicious! Cocoa, coffee and a sweet boozy burn.

Well my earlier comment about the Group knowing when we need a pickmeup really applies to tonight. Super shitty week at work and there was a smile put on my face by @treznor and @Kramerbarthomer when I got home today.

It's really what I like about this "place": it's a break from the stresses of life, family, and work. Thanks to each and every one of you who help me keep my sanity, written and liquid. Cheers!

LIF alert!

I'm going to do a lif to make sure I keep up with the thousand other lif's flying around.

I am holding a barley wine tasting on the 22nd that I have been planning for a while and very excited about!

1. How many bottles will there be at the tasting? (Within one bottle gets 3 points, within 3 bottles gets 1 point.)
2. How many will not be barrel aged? (Must be exact. Worth 2 points.)
3. How many people will be at the tasting? (Exact gets two points, within 2 gets one point.)
4. How long will the tasting last? (Within 15 minutes gets 3 points, within a half hour gets 1 point.)
5. What will be the combined alcohol percentage of all the beers? (A 12% bomber plus a 10% 12 oz. bottle equals 22%) ( withing 2% gets 3 points, within 10% gets 1 point)
6. At what time will I get out of bed the next day? ( I actually used a days vacation for this tasting since Sunday was the only day that would work for everyone and I know I will be very hungover.) (Within 15 minutes gets 3 points, within a hour gets 1 point.)
7. How many different kinds of cheeses will I buy for this tasting? I have no idea at this point. (Must be exact. Worth 1 point.)
8. Which bottle will be voted the favorite? (Worth 3 points.)

The only clue that will be given is that @Devman171 sent me a bottle of Bruery Mash and Deschutes Mirror Mirror in the 12 days of Christmas bif. And I realize the point system may be a little random. Just shut up and deal with it!

Glad to hear your day was a little better! My box was to get back at you for the ridiculous box you last sent me. Glad you like the Barrique! It's a very odd beer. Good, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Nothing at all like what I expected (since I hadn't read anything about it when I tried it), and yet very interesting.

 

Just curious Josh... How many hammers in that drawer? Ive lived my life thinking you only need one, then again i wouldnt put "handy" in my resume.
