This would be both awesome and upsetting since I have not made my weekly trip down there as of yet.

Oh for Christ's sake - how many hundreds of times have you been there? There is no, no, no way they have that secretly on tap now.

    Or is there? LOL

    Hehehe, I know, but still...

Also I don't think I broke 100 visits yet, but I must be getting close.

I don't want to spoil the suspense that's been building in this thread, but it may or may not be at the brewery.

    One of those two options.

I'm in San Jose. Most of the "good" Rare Barrel and SARA stuff goes to club members first. A West Ashley or Saison Bernice bottle release at SARA is a mad house and if you're not there before they open then you're SOL. As for Barrelworks, that's still 4 hours south of me, so I'm no closer to that than you are.

Cellarman has been available for three days.. Nonna's #7 was also available for quite some time.

Looking for Cellerman but hate the ransom being held for them.

Ransom? Do you believe what people are asking for is unwarranted?

For a beer available that long, yes.
I have attempted twice so far and no way I would give up what was asked.

The beer is available for long because Capitola is pretty far out from major metropolitan cities. Flora and Le Serrasin stayed available for just as long and they demand a high premium so how is that any different?

The beer isn't going to come to you man. You got to go to the beer! I follow SARA releases pretty closely, and I know plenty of people who get to SARA on the first day (usually Fridays) of West Ashley releases to get two bottles. Is it busy? Sure, but of course it's going to be busy when you can buy a world class beer for $20 and have it instantly have a trade value over $100.

One West Ashley would land you multiple bottles of AleSmith stuff. You just need to put in the work to get it, just like I put in work to get most AleSmith releases anymore.

Also, I'm hearing that AleSmith is going to continue allowing proxies on future releases. Bad news for me, but good news for the rest of you as long as you know how to take care of a proxy! For BeerGeek, I had a guy in Michigan send me a 12 bottle shipper, fill it up with Michigan beers, mail it to me and send me a return label. All I had to do was grab his bottles, throw them into the shipper, and drop off the package when he wanted me to. I had others who didn't send me a shipping label, packaging or thank you beer. Guess who I'm going to continue proxying for, and who I'm going to tell to go fly a kite on the next round?

Why would you proxy for someone completely on your own dime? Did they make false promises?

He was a friend of a friend. I just assumed that he would at least PayPal me the cost of shipping or send me thank you beers, since he's not a newbie in the game. I assumed wrong. You live and you learn.
