Ouch, right to my heart!! You're from Rochester, correct?! If so, you might have been the one to clean them out...

Passing on KBS. I might be the IPA guy, but I should have tried it when the local shop had it. Hopefully I get the chance this year.

    Passing on:

No limit LiL at CCB, probably ~40 sitting in the cooler. "Sweet stout, hm? Sounds gross"

Rose de Gambrinus being taken out of a case being put on the shelf. Parents were rushing me out of a store on vacation, and I had just had my first 3F Kriek and was not familiar enough with loonz to blindly buy an $18 375. At least I got an Intense Red, but I see it often enough it wouldn't have mattered if I hadn't.

Marshall Zhukov and 110k +OT old batches, wasn't into imp stouts yet and wasn't trading or aging beer yet.

El Cat membership first year, sounded 'not worth it'

Not buying the shit out of Rare DOS with I think no limit?

Oh and staying up too late drinking shot and beer specials at a dive bar in Baltimore with a college friend, slept in too late to make it to HF for BA Everett 3 limit, Clara or something else maybe, and filling my growlers 'on the way' to my buddy's bachelor party in NH.

I remember once in like August thinking i could swing into TW and grab some of this great beer I had heard of, some "KBS" or something er rather. Dude at TW just looked at me and said "No. That's not here. Check back in March." His dull near Brit-like indifference said it all. Good move noob.

Passing up Pliny on many occasions because I'd had it enough and didn't want to continue to throw money at it. I now realize that there's a lot of people out there that haven't had a chance to try it and now I get it for trades to spread the love. If it's on tap though, I may still grab one as it's amazing!

Once I was at a beer bar back in 2010 and I saw several 4-packs of KBS just sitting there. On the shelf. Like it was no big deal. I thought to myself "Oh cool. They have KBS. I'll have to pick that up sometime. Little short on funds today." Then I went on my merry way like a stupid idiot. It wasn't until a couple weeks later that I realized what it was and how hard it would be to find again and I cried on the inside. And outside.

I was at a Highland games. My BIL bought a couple beers. They were going down smooth with some great gaelic rock being played. We had 3. I tried to stand up and proceeded to sit right back down. I was so drunk I was weaving to get to the bathroom. Had to call a DD to get out of there. At that point I asked my BIL what that was. It was a barleywine at 12 % that they were serving in 16 ounce plastic glasses. That is when I got my obsession of knowing what alcohol content is in the beers I am consuming.

No one was buying it. I got into craft beer very early on. So very happy I bought them.

My biggest beer mistake is that I chose to work for a macro brewer, we get free beer but it all sucks! The cool thing is that my neighbor is a landscaper and I'll give him my case for free yard work.

Being on a trip to Seattle in Oct. 2013 with a friend and hitting ZERO breweries. Still makes me want to cry to this day despite us both being in our infancy of enjoying craft beer.

When I was in college the craft beer scene wasn't crazy yet, although i did partake in some good local microbrews, I was young, poor, and stupid. My (now) wife's cousin's husband worked for Founders at the time, and I didn't even care. If only it was now...

Being in Indiana and not partaking in things as much as I could have. Didn't really get that national distribution isn't a thing for most beer. I did enjoy a good amount of gumball head anyways though. Sadly the two breweries in town only favored super hoppy beer and it wasn't my thing then and still isn't Much.

Ordering a cyser off the menu at a local place because it was pretty much the only thing I hadn't had. I hate when places don't list prices, absolutely drives me crazy. But only ordered one and although I was there for 3 hours or so and my friend had 4 beers, I just had the one since I wasn't trying to spend a lot anyways. Got my bill and thought it was wrong. Only ordered one drink. $12. Turns out it was b nektar kill all the zombies. Looked it up later and realized that I actually got a great deal as a 500ml sells for about $10 and I got a 22oz tall of it for $12.

Yeah, I would have done the same thing. I had no clue as to what cyser was until my brother started home brewing them last year. I took him to a local bottleshop (he lives out of state) and he was filling me in on B nektar and other meaderies. Still not something I'm into, but I was grateful for the knowledge.
