I was at KRBC and had no cell reception. Used a friends phone to buy my ticket and at 9:01 got the wait list. Didn't know how that works out so I get home now and see the email to buy my ticket but of course I'm too late! :slight_frown::confused::angry:

God damn, what has beer come to? I missed out, no big deal. But seriously, initially sold out in less than 1 minute?

Less than 30 seconds. Insane. I got in on the "wait list" email

Were you able to buy 2 tickets, or just the 1?

So based on past years - when should we expect to see the brewery and tap lists for the event?

Does anyone expect any changes for this year?

They generally have released the tap lists in the couple weeks leading up to the event.

Typically the tap list comes out 2-3 days prior. A FW rep said it would be earlier this year. Hoping to see something soon.

I'm guessing that anything we see soon will be inaccurate and/or won't include special/limited tappings. I'm pretty okay with waiting until the week before the fest since 1) it will be more accurate than anything released now and 2) we all know the beer list is going to be great, so no real rush to find out the specifics.

I thought it was kind of fun/neat the way the released the brewers and beers last year.

A little yes and a little no. I mean, it would have been better if places actually knew when they were tapping stuff. Not all booths had that sign out for when the limited stuff would be poured and so you had to check back to "i don't know, sometime soon" answers.

You have to treat this as a "fuck it, enjoy what you have because there's so much good beer" sort of thing and not get so hung up on ticking those super rare whales. Half the time they'll get released later on. Look at BAVSS, that line was crazy and a few months later it came out in bottles.

The first email newsletter for FWIBF was emailed out today:
We've got some wicked breweries lined up that are bringing their most Rare offerings - it's gonna be a topper this year! We'll likely be releasing the Brewery Lineup very soon via our Invitational Facebook Page, so stay tuned!

The "Rare" links to Rare Barrel's website. This is fantastic news.

Yep. I'm probably reading into things, but I'm hoping Topper is a vlue for the Alchemist and Wicked is a vlue for Wicked Weeds. We'll see soon enough though.

People actually trade at this? I've always brought my best bottles to share in the awesome bottle share, not worry about trading.

I poured a growler of Societe and a Mocha Wednesday Last year at Dark Lord Day to people I did not know but would not give you a drop
    and yes people do trade

Be nice, we are all beer brothers. Respect, Kindness, Generosity, Grace, Mercy. This is our creed at FWI.

    That escalated quickly...

So how do bottle shares usually happen at these events? Are they organized ahead of time somehow, or just free-for-all beer potlucks?
