Pretty seasonal, and i think I'm getting more so as time passes.

My standard of excellence and taste always goes to a great DIPA. But in cooler weather, I have a much better liking for good RISs, Hoppy Barleywines, Black IPAs, etc. I tend to only like Saisons in the summer. My taste for sours usually kicks in late summer/early fall. I always just grab what I'm craving, but this pattern seems to be the typical trend.

I usually drink lighter lagers/pils, witbiers, hefeweizen/wheat beers, IPA, pale ales, honey ales, kolsch, and golden ales in the spring/summer months; and darker brown ales, stouts, porters, barley wines, bocks, schwarzbiers, and Oktoberfests/Vienna lagers, in the autumn/winter months. But I usually begin craving spring beers in February as this is the time of year signs of spring begin where I'm from. I am drinking a rye IPA as we speak, which is perfect for a somewhat balmy 45 degree evening.

There was a time, now I just crank up the AC and drink Imp Stouts to my hearts content when I burn out on lighter spring/summer offerings. Still a shallow pool her. Now I save pennies for bigger and more complex beers when I find them and can afford them... I more a mood/situational drinker

Absolutely. The darker the day the darker the beer. Love the porters and stouts in winter and the pales, wheats and IPAs in the summer. Reds and ambers in between.

I am one of those people that indeed does drink by the seasons. This is how it goes for me

Winter - DIPA's, Imperial Sout, Porter, Barleywine
Fall - IPA's, Wet Hopped Harvest Ales, Oktoberfests, certain pumpkin beers
Spring - West Coast style IPA's, Pale Ales
Summer - Session IPA's, Saisons, Sour's, Pilsners, Helles, and Kölsch

I do not have seasonal preferences, but am of course subject to seasonal releases and availabilities.

I never turn down a good DIPA or anything fresh, but I do tend to gravitate toward malt-heavy brews in the winter, and IPAs, Farmhouse, and sours more in the spring and summer.

For the most part in Michigan, we get all four seasons at some point, and it's nice to match a beer with the weather.

It used to be that I drank IPA's and Pilsners in the Summer and Stouts, Porters, Winter Warmers in Winter but I find that I just drink whatever i'm feeling regardless of the season.

Seasonal releases is where its at for me too. In a state that seems to sit on old torpedo, ranger ipa, Lagunitas products, SNPA, modus hoperandi, hop nosh, Green Flash products and countless other, a seasonal release of an IPA or any type of beer with a hop aroma, it becomes essential to seek out beers such as Deschutes Red Chair. I either seek out the seasonals as "new tries", or find the new core releases such as SN Hop Hunter, or SA Rebel Rouser and buy them when their fresh (and only fresh). It all becomes quite the chore though. It lends to me drinking local more than 60% of the time.

Almost always. Helps prevent palate fatigue, and keeps the interest level from getting stale. Helps that I like any style too.

It sounds like your area is like a large scale 'Total Wine'. Their store by me is pretty much like that, lots of old stock except for the seasonals aisle. When I shop there that's pretty much my main place of interest these days (except for an occasional bottle where age doesn't matter).

I do drink seasonally, yes very often... I am favoring certain styles more often at different times of the year.

However, I do find I can get tired/bored/burned out drinking the same thing often, so I do have to throw in other styles in the mix.

That's just how I roll...

Yeah I guess I do drink seasonally, but it's not like it's a conscious choice. I just happen to gravitate towards certain beers at certain times. Doesn't help when the beer coming out matches the season. Like right now, it's been a lot of barleywines. It was stouts November through January. Although I did have Sculpin last week, since that was the new thing on the shelf.

I'm more on a 24 hour cycle except when work gets in the way - Hefeweizen and Mettwurst or an omelet for breakfast, a Pilsner or Pale ale for lunch, an IPA for dinner and whatever in the evening with the abv and IBUs going up depending on the intensity of the day. Actually I drink seasonally to the extent that the brewer brews seasonally but when its ungodly hot a good DIPA or RIS makes life tolerable.

IPAs and DIPAs I drink year round, but what supplements that changes with the seasons.
