Which Trader Joes in PA has beer?

I'm pretty sure none of the Trader Joes in PA have beer for sale. I think there is one in Princeton, NJ that they might be referencing.

Sorry should have been more specific; it was a Trader Joes in Jersey.

Are they really selling the Cappuccino Stout for $13.99? If so, holy crap. Shame on people not doing their homework and buying it. I picked up 6 at Total Wine the other day for $5.99 each which I think is consistent with most places that carry it.

I have been to the Malvern store and selection is good however I will never buy anything but hard to find there.

Darn you had me all excited. My son lives in PA and I was hoping to have access to a trader joes with beer. Hit one in Mass and was impressed with selection and price.

Love Trader Joe's, but I don't see them putting in cafe's ala Wegman's here in the great state of Pennsylvania.

This is made up. They are selling it for $8.99. Still high, but not $13.99.

Stopped in the other day to grab a 6 pack of Expedition Stout to age, only because it's sold out everywhere else.

Went to the counter to pay and he rang it up $22.99... I pointed out that the self said $19.99 (which is what it was priced at Wegmans). The guy didn't believe me, went to the shelf to check... saw it was $19.99 and ripped down the price tag.

    That place sickens me.

Also saw he was on a tear of posting moderately priced average beers on Facebook that they just got in, and listing the prices.

Then a few posts later came Sump. I can only imagine how overpriced that is going to be.

Prices fluctuate all the time depending on their [sometimes imagined] demand.

Because I do don't mind paying a dollar or two more to get beers I can't get anywhere else. Plenty of people quoting price comparisons here but when I go to these other places they don't have the beer! Craft ale house listed Old Rasputin 17 for a good price but when I went they were "out". I walk into Malvern beer store and find BA Narwhal, Boulevard Love Child #4, Boon sours, and other great stuff ACTUALLY ON THE SHELF! It's fine to tell us what Wegmans sells Hopslam for but how many people really get any Hopslam from Wegmans? Are there cheaper places to buy beer? Sure. But the consistently good selection makes this a go to for hard to find beers. Just the one wall of Belgians is full of great beers that are not at all easy to acquire. Maybe I just have more money than brains. But my cellar is filling up with Cascade and Perennial and Mikkeller.

Got mine at MBS for $25.99. Unless you actually go there and see them charging $40 why say it?

Agree with you to an extent. Most of the time stuff is on the shelves at these places BECAUSE it is priced so much higher. But hey, if you have it and want to spend it to get it, go for it. I am all about convenience a lot of times too and over pay because it's convenient

I asked them when it would be put on the shelf, but apparently it's going 'randomly'. Not sure why you would say 'coming soon' to drive interest and then just put on the shelf randomly.

Seems like they're just going for locals, because I'm not driving 30mins when there's no indication of when it will be sold.

If we thought their prices were high before...they're opening a location at Philadelphia Mills (previously Franklin Mills).

As high as the prices are at MBS, I have to say that I completely disagree with the comments people are making about Darren and his staff. It's been open since November, I go there maybe once every 2 weeks or so at most, yet when I walk in they know my name and are always friendly and knowledgeable (aside from sours, they just get them, don't know anything about them). They also have completely stopped with the absurd growler fill for a chance to buy other beer thing.

I'm going to do something crazy. I'm going to drive there and check the place out for myself. I'll report back later.

They stopped the growler shenanigans because of the the backlash they received on Facebook - I'm convinced that's the only reason why. I've now noticed that if someone posts something on Facebook that is even slightly negative, he deletes it almost immediately. His laptop is always by the register so he can monitor it.

Was anyone there for the Sump tapping? I'd be interested to know what they were charging per draft of it. BCBCS was $10, so I'd imagine it'd be the same or north of $10 for 8oz.
