Anyone stepping on Belgian soil should try the 'Pottekeis' / Brussels cheese 1/3 + 2/3 fresh cheese with a Cantillon gueuze on draught : you'll never leave the country!

Only question is getting to/from 3F on a Saturday, when the commuter train doesn't run -- unless you have a car? Although I'm sure some combination of bus and train would eventually do it. Anyway. In making your food fit in where necessary, try to kick off at 3F with lunch.

It should be a magnum at 18 Euro per bottle.

Even at €18 it is similar to intense red. Won't stop anyone from purchasing

I know, I meant that 18 Euro is too steep for me given all the other world class options around here at a fraction of the price.

If I remember correctly, the previous batch was sold for 200DKK at the Sour & Bitter in Copenhagen, which made around 27€ a bottle. This release is then far cheaper.

I can only guess that 18 Euro is the brewery price, not the bottle shop cost in DK which I would expect would be much higher

Very true. And 18EUR is a fair price, it's better some extra euros go to the brewer instead of the importer or guy on ebay

True that. They could charge 100EUR and my countrymen would still buy it by the pallet.

Fairness is a subjective thing. It doesn't make it anymore of a fair deal to me that Armand gets more profit or that it's 82% less than what the Whale Bros are willing to pay in the States. But I do agree that Armand should benefit from the sale of his product more than anyone. It's too bad that others have a higher profit margin off his stuff than he does.

I couldn't agree more. I live in one of the states that doesn't get Shelton Brothers so when this hits the states (which I think it is supposed to) I have zero chance of getting one. Then I'm left trying to trade $100+ worth of rare beer for it or buying one off of MBC for $300+ which I wont do. I'd like to try it but whale chasers are killing it.

fwiw I live in a Shelton Brothers state (in fact their home state) and didn't see any Hommage. Either you get lucky or you need to chase trucks

From what I read in the thread about beer stores, even if you get these bottles locally in the US they´ll be grabbed by the distributors, employees and store owners plus their buddies before you get to see one.

Since I won´t be going to Belgium I´m going to throw in the towel on this one and drink some Rose de Gambrinus instead.
