Boy, you take a couple days off from this thread and it takes hours to read everything and get caught up. I think I need a beer after all that work.

 

Well sometimes some people in this thread go nuts and try to send porch crushing monster boxes... But we've had a couple of nice mini rounds where we've set a MAXIMUM of 6-ish 750 mL bottles or 150 oz... and people have generally, for the most part stuck to it (although some certainly didn't)... But I just wanted to run a nice, easy mini round here to keep the BIF alive and let all the new folks get in on some BIF action!

 

Exactly -- having one or two "big rounds" a year and the occasional mini (with or without a theme) seems to work well. Not to mention the sixterhood, and the horizontalhood, and the sixtercanhood, and the otherwhateveritishood -- lots of chances to send and receive without going overboard.

(I didn't even mention all the LIF's and ninja boxes).

 

I think we have a good balance, and we can dip in and out. I like that aspect of it as I'm wont to take breaks from this to either drink down my stash or just deal with life. (and ensure that my wife doesn't go crazy from a hobby gone overboard)

 

Speaking of the SixterCAN, I FINALLY got a nice external box to fit the interior boxes in, just need to get it all taped up (and probably add a couple last minute bottles because why the hell not). I expect to have the box in FedEx's hands tomorrow if it isn't snowing too much/too cold to ship.

 

Gonna close down sign ups for the Anti Circle Jerk LIF BIF (Locals Rd 5) after tonight fellas. If you let me know after that, I'll try to sneak you in, but can't guarantee anything. Again will try to get targets out this week, though I'm seeing as I'm starting to match people up that it's gonna take longer than I thought ...

There's not really any such thing as "not maxing out" at a release like that Unfortunately for me, I doubt that I'll be going.

Don't know how good this will end up being but local cans are always a good extra to send, and, based on the name and where this is brewed this might become my go-to to fill out boxes.
