    Fingers crossed they plan on opening earlier than 5 on Friday for GD release. Earlier the better! :wink:

    It's like an arms race, each side needs to keep up with the other so the stakes keep rising. With the beer , it is the fear of missing out on something which heightens the sense of urgency to get in a line earlier and earlier. Hopefully there is enough GD so everyone gets some and lessens the urgency to get in a long line. Hopefully once the novelty of OH cans wears off, getting these beers will be as easy as walking right up to the counter and grabbing some.

    Superfun is a good beer, but OH has been making many good to great beers since they opened and there has never been a run on any of them. Add "limited", "special release", "cans", etc. to a beer release and it whips people into a frenzy. If Superfun just showed up on a random Saturday on tap no one would be lining up for it.

    It's catch-22 OH is making great beer which is great for all of us, but with that comes a lot more attention and potentially some competition for the beer. But they make so much great stuff and they are expanding so I think we should be able to get their beer almost always with no problems.

    I know they have a small place, would be nice if they could separate the cans line from the draft line so those who don't want cans can get in tap room and drink. They would make more money too. At 1st anni party lines were so long a lot of money was left in customers pockets.

    The can line/draft line seems like a no brainer. Felt bad for people who came for beers and waited in line because of all the fools (myself included) who came to grab some Superfun. Really happy for OH--its great to see a local place get the recognition it deserves--but yeah I hear your concerns, too.

    @jrnyc - All good ideas!

    Anyone want to make a bet how long it takes someone to post "FT: Green Diamonds ISO: DB Huna, KBBS, Ann"?

    Based on the thread "FT: Superfun ISO: Sip of Sunshine other great IPAs" that was created an hour after the release, I'll bet we see a thread Thursday night.

    260 cases. For comparison, Superfun was 300 cases and is still available at the brewery, as well at local stores/bars via as limited distribution.

    Around 280 cases. They still had Superfun available for sale the following weeking from that release, but granted this release it a bit more hyped up.
