Barrel Aged Bigfoot sightings in CO

    If it's anything like the last batches we got - drink it NOW. It was terrific fresh but the bottle I saved for 18 months was a complete mess. Ditto with another one I tried from the first bottled batches. Normally Bigfoot has some lasting power (at the expense of some hop character) but the BA one doesn't seem to have that ability.

    Thanks for this comment. I love normal Bigfoot with a year+ on it, so I was planning to do the same here. I will now think otherwise!

    Same same. Barrel aging can screw things up. I'm becoming an "un-fan" of BA stuff (with some notable exceptions)

    I've had the same experience with "aged" BA Bigfoot not having great longevity. I guess the obvious culprit would be long exposure to oxidation during barrel aging vs. rego Bigfoot which is virutally bulletproof.

    Saw some at Small Batch last week ... great store / selection as well -- dude's there know their stuff and typically some gems sit around a bit longer there...
