I know that one keg made it to Athens and is rumored to be tapped around the beginning of April.

Would be great if it was around the Spring game. I am in N.GA pretty much on the Tennessee line

seems like there is an event around the spring game at trapeze. Or maybe not. Seems like last year after the spring game we went there and they had KBS and several other wood aged beers on tap.

nope wait a second. I was thinking of Aromas. which is now closed. But we definitely had KBS and such after the spring game last year.

and I think that five point bottle did their KBS lotto the same weekend as the spring game.

but isnt this the point where I say KBS is overrated and not worth chasing?

I will try. typically they just spring in on us all of a sudden. I would just follow them closely. Bc if they announce as I am leaving work or something.. chances are I will not post on here until I am there with a pour in my hand.

I guess maybe you missed the CBS kegs at Brickstore and Midway last week. Those were pretty highly advertised/hinted at.

This being said though, I'd be skeptical BS got just one. We will prob see it pop back up at next years Pancake Bruffess.

The brick store keg was not highly advertised. In fact it would seem that they made sure not to advertise it.

    Yes/No. That's why I said "hinted at".

Midway was blatantly advertised a week ahead.

I suppose I picked up enough context clues from the Brick Store posting.

    1) Founder's 'Raid The Cellar' event
    2) "and other special tappings...."
    3) Hadn't tapped CBS yet

I truly hope you find it; it's a masterpiece. Because these are basically torpedo kegs, you've got to be decidedly quick about hauling ass to the location. Once it hits social media, count on it being 25% gone already.

I had it at brick store last Thursday alongside some of the other "raid the cellar" beers. They had '09 and '11 FIS and some aged backwoods bastard. CBS and the two FIS were the only ones I cared to try, as I'm not a big fan of backwoods. CBS was definitely the highlight, but the two FIS were just awful. If anyone reading this has FIS aging I recommend drinking it now.

I agree with what people are saying about the social media thing though, you're best bet would be to contact argosy or brick store and get the details straight from them. Or go there and get some food/beer and talk to the owner that way.

Personally, I won't be tracking this down again, I thought it was rather disappointing given the hype, but that's just my opinion.

I was more referring to contacting argosy as I know they have a keg. I'm not sure if brick store has another. They certainly acted like they didn't when I went there. I personally like their venue better. More room, more parking spaces, more beers on tap, better food. Again though just a personal preference.

What sours are they getting? Did they release a list?
