Revoke my beer snob card, but I'd pair buffalo wings with Corona.

Nothing wrong with that! Back when I lived in MA I would pair it with Narragansett a lot!

I prefer lighter more subdued and refreshing beers when I have wings. It is good to counteract the heat in the wings. I finds the darker, and IPA styles to not give the tongue a break enough to be able to enjoy the wings properly.

I actually don't drink my good beers with wings. I usually get the hottest wings so my taste buds can't even taste beer. Although I just got some hopslam, and it's 50 cent wings at Buffalo Wild Wings. I may try what some people have suggested here.

i honestly prefer a pils or another type of easy drinking lager. I tend to drink a lot of whatever my drink is whether it be soda, beer etc, when im eating wings. the low abv and easy drinkability is nice on pilsners. Plus they re just refreshing. mostly drinking sixpoint crisp, oskar blues mommas lil yella pils or brooklyn pilsner

I guess it kind of depends. Do you want to make the heat pop and ride the wave? Or do you want to give your tongue a little break every time you drink?

Exactly. Wings can range from sweet honey bbq to face melting hot so there's no one good answer. Personally, I prefer my wings on the spicier end of the spectrum so I tend to go with something light that's best served ice cold like a High Life or PBR.

Agreed. I tend towards the hot end of the spectrum and then want a beer best served cold. Single IPA or pale ale hits the bill for me.

For Traditional Buffalo Wings, I'll go with a Duvel or a Chimay Rouge in a 750ml bottle.

Both are light-enough-bodied to use in pairing with a main course, but bring a nice wallop of alcohol and flavor. The Duvel an off-dry and fruity refreshing tongue cleanser, while the Chimay would provide a slightly sweet and spicy malt backbone for the spice to ride along and contrast with. Neither too hoppy.
