Stone - Old Guardian Barelywine - 2015 Classic Release

Even if its been sitting on the shelf in a store for a year it'll still taste fine. It'll taste more comparable to a 1.5-2 year old bottle though because warmer temps speed up the aging process.

 

I hope so man, I bought that 2014 I saw sitting on the shelf last week, and then went back this past weekend and they had gotten the 2015 in. the 2014 has been sitting at room temp on a store shelf for over a year and I'm anxious to try it.

Saw it for $8 at a Total Wine in So Cal, that kind of seals it for me, I'm done buying Stone bombers.

That sucks that they distribute to 42 states but not WI. Seems odd.

more caramel, vanilla. less hoppy, as you'd expect. will supplement my response after trying 2015 this weekend.

 

How far into WI are you? It will be all over in Illinois and won't sell out in any kind of hurry, so you can always pick one up if you are ever down. I will be up in WI in 6 or 7 weeks if someone else doesn't sort you out.

Or, you can buy central waters barley wine - just as good, and their barrel aged one is amazing!
