Now I want a Victory Cigar to go with my 3 year old Storm King I have....

Cool facts about one of my favorite breweries!

If Victory is good enough for Michael Jackson, I guess they're good enough for me..

Seriously though, Victory is one of my favorite Breweries. I hope they continue to nail Lagers for more years to come!

Oh @jmdrpi did you see the video where workers of Victory read bad reviews out loud for their 19th Anniversary?

Facts aside, the 19th anniversary beer is not that good.

I hate to admit it, but I agree with you here.

"It was from that vantage point where more than one former Pepperidge Farm employee told the sad story of their co-worker being ground up in a chocolate processing machine."

    Hope that's a (dark) joke!

Though a 19th anniversary is not really a milestone, I would hope they make something that is a knockout for next year and their 20th.

Number one thing I learned: a Pepperidge Farm employee was once ground up in a chocolate processing machine

The wire service story about the accident was printed in many local papers around the country, due, no doubt, to the unfortunately coincidental name of worker who was killed.

Hmm, to each his own I guess. I thought it was a crisp, simple and easy-drinking beer. I enjoyed my bottle.

To be totally fair, their "anniversary beer" is supposed to be a spring seasonal. Its replacing swing, a session saison.

Granted, when you hear anniversary beer, you might think or FW or Ithaca's anniversary beers. Barrel Aged, high abv. Victory went the other way with it, and made a session IPA for the spring. I would have LOVED a barrel aged Storm King, or Dirtwolf dry hopped with something great, but I respect their wish to make a simple, approachable spring beer, thats an affordable 6 pack.

Though id so give a left nut for BA Storm King.... I wasnt 21 when they made dark intrigue :slight_frown:

I actually think it was pretty fitting that a craft company that has been nailing "session" beers long before that term became hip did a crisp, nicely hopped, and tasty "session" beer for their 19th. Cheers, Victory!

Victory made an anniversary alt over 5 years ago. It was stellar. Would love to see it again.

Well, in lieu of another BA version of Storm King, the Victory brewpub has Stormy on NITRO! It is so smooth with hints of chocolate and hops. The mouth-feel and the flavor profile are amazing.

Damn that sounds good! i was there around october, and didnt see it. Though Donnybrook was a nice dry stout, another low abv, but tasty one nonetheless.!

I thought the 19th anniversary session IPA was on point. You know the base of the beer is going to be clean and balanced coming from this brewery, and the hop flavor and aroma was great. For ten bucks a sixer, why not. I don't think it would make sense to do something super over the top for this years anniversary. Next I'm sure will be a different story. B

Loved this beer. One of the few times I went out and bought a 6 pack of it after trying a single.
