Can't comment on all those values, but the Florence and Clara values are way above the mark.

Values are awful. I picked up 2 Valley of Hearts Delight for $12 each yesterday.

Those are like bottle list at the bar prices, and even overpriced for that. I hope whatever deal you worked out is MUCH better than what is being shown here.

How wide is 'the widest of margins'? Two months is far more wide than I would have allowed. While it sounds like you've come to somewhat of a conclusion this person is someone I wouldn't want to deal with as they are clearly out to 'win' which is sad.

He is screwing you basically by using "trade value" on his side and "retail price" on your side. Florence and Clara cost $10. Sue is $25, etc and he knows this.

    Out this person.

but honestly OP, you are allowing yourself to be bent over here and if you don't feel like helping yourself you shouldn't ask for people's opinions. Multiple people have told you what to do here and it doesn't seem like you're really listening - you just need to tell him you're owed the original bottles you were promised, end of discussion.

Don't use this thread to discussion the individual trade values of 15 bottles, as that's a nightmare and is besides the point completely. you need some tough love here my friend.

Completely disagree with your assessment that I wasn't listening. Based on all your feedback last night, I agreed to take the following just to move on to greener pastures.....

    Valley of hearts delight
    Farmer's Reserve 3
    Brandy peche
    fram 11
    fram 13
    fram 14
    Sue
    Sang Royal

He owes you beers. Other than the FFAC '11 and Sue which trade a little higher, something that's probably get offset by some of the harder to get beers he lost to UPS, so he should be using retail values for ALL of his beers in effort to make it right. Use @CSO ' values (bump the Cascade to $30 or $35), but JFC, don't accept any values higher than retail. If he insists, out him. Keeping values at retail is his last chance.

Glad this is resolved. Would have liked to have seen the other party in this thread. Given the other party got their beer, got the money for your stolen beer he should have bent over backwards to get you a box that you were happy about immediately, not 2 months later with prolonged negotiations and after this thread appeared.

Please BM name of this trader so I can add to my DNT list. Or direct them to this thread and let them explain their side of story.

I suppose if you're happy with how things worked out, @SweetChicken, that's all that matters, but how this was handled does seem a little less than honorable.

P.S. I'm here for you if you'd like to unload some more Golden Blend :grinning:.

So easily avoided if he just returned your beer when this first happened , now it's two months later. I'd just want the money for the beer and the shipping cost and be done with it. I'd be damned if I'd take beers I didn't want, first rule of shipping is I'm responsible for my box getting thru, my fault, shippers fault, beer stolen whatever . I either return or replace to your satisfaction which is why I don't touch your box till mine is safe.

Those valuations of his beers are INSANELY high. What an ass. And you traded him Golden Blends that you purchased for about $3-5 less than what I've seen them on shelves for. Usually they're about $25-27 per bottle.

This post has irritated me more than it should have.

You let someone blatantly rip you off for beer that you were not looking for. He is a terrible trader for that. He should be outed for this behavior.

Greener passages would have been getting your beer back and not dealing with people trying to rip you off.

Is it safe to assume the other trader was from Cali given the Framboise and Almanac? If so, look at OP's traders, which took place in December, and you can probably figure out who the guy was jerking him around.
